Well, with school back in session on Friday nights you are sure to see the the spot lights shining and hear the bands playing at any of the local High Schools in town. Why not go out and cheer on the home team and of some fun supporting our local youth.? you can find a schedule of most school sporting events on your local school districts website.
If you have a toddler or preschooler at home this may be one of the best times of the year to take them to the Fort Wayne Children Zoo. With the older kids at school the zoo is much less crowded than during the busy summer months and the cooler temperatures make it better for you and for the animals. During the cooler Fall days you have a better chance of seeing the animals up close and moving around. The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is located on Sherman Blvd. In Fort Wayne and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., 7 days a week . Until Oct.. 15 when it will be closed for the season.
So, although summer may be coming to an end, there is still a lot to of fun to be had outdoors so... get out there Fort Wayne and enjoy your city!
