Summers Eve Sensitive Skin Wash and Kiss My Face Soaps

Excellent Cleansers for Eczema

As an eczema sufferer; I find it very hard to find a soap that doesn't irritate and often burn my skin when I take a shower. I am currently in the midst of a big breakout and this situation is of the utmost importance to me. Because of my insurance situation; I am unable to see a doctor for another 2 weeks. So in the meantime; I just have to make the best of products that are available to me over the counter. Everyone tells me "oh did you try Cetaphil soap? or Eucerin Calming Body Wash?" Neither of these products suds up which I understand does take a chemical to create this effect;but sometimes you just end up feeling unclean. And add to that them not making any difference in my skin condition; and I just wind up feeling really annoyed after spending so much money. I did some reading online and found that some people were using dead sea salts and having some success. So I purchased some dead sea salt soap and took a bath with it.

I even went so far as to make them into a lotion. None of these products served to do anything but dry my skin out and make it burn. At first I thought well maybe the lotion is a bit too much. But then even after I cut that out and just used the soap and soaked in the bath. The products still made my skin dry and uncomfortable. I then tried a Kirk's Coco Castile soap that I purchased from my neighborhood Kroger. It was said to have been made with coconut oil and supposedly had no harmful chemicals like sodium laurel sulfate etc. Well, that soap was a nightmare.

My skin broke out even more before I got out of the shower. At that point I was just tired and didn't know what to do anymore. In desperation, I grabbed my bottle of Summer's Eve. Though it does say that it can be used as a body wash; I use it specifically for my female parts. I never really thought to use it for my body. Well, I began to wash with it and first off it completely relaxed the burning and irritation brought on by the other soaps. Then on top of that; while washing and after I rinsed off; I felt no new irritation or dryness. I wasn't super moisturized; but my skin felt peaceful.

Though this is a mass produced product that most assuredly contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and other assorted chemicals. It felt great to me. Maybe this will help another eczema sufferer. It is also important to note that I have found that Kiss My Face Olive Oil or Chamomile soaps are decent for my skin; but I currently have no way to get to the store in my area that sells these products. But, these products create the same feeling of peace and comfort that the Summer's Eve Body Wash did. In addition; these soaps tend to add extra moisture to my skin which is even better for my eczema. So when I can get my hands on these products; I use them as well.
