THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY SCAM ARTISTS! Please take the time to read this and inform yourself before making the same mistake that I did.
Summerstone Nursery sent me completely dead "bareroot" roses that were actually completely dead - not dormant - and never sprouted a single leaf bud. I am an experienced rose gardener and grew 5 bareroot roses purchased from a big bin in Menard's right beside these "dead sticks" that they sent me and those 5 are all thriving and 4 feet tall. The 3 I purchased from Summerstone Nursery are the same dead sticks I put in the ground the day they arrived.
To add insult to injury, this company assured me they would grow when I called with my concerns about the appearance of the "sticks" they sent me after the package arrived. Now that they have kept my money - they do not respond to voice mails and do not respond to emails.
Beware!! I should have done more research before ordering - as it would have been abundantly clear based on the experiences of others

Thank you for your good article .Recently I ordered some plants about 50 dollars .But I got letter saying that they are out of stock and going to mail on coming October ,I tried to contact several times in phone and email it is just worthless .I read the reviews about company very bad ,what do you thing they will cheat me ? This is my first experince with Summerstone. I order my trees, and then i read some bad articles about them, I got so worried that I had been ripped off, But within a few days my trees arrived, they were in good shape, They even sent me extra trees. I'm very happy with Summerstone, I'm very happy with the prices I paid, and the free shipping, and will be ordered from them again, I'm sure. I would highly recomend them to anyone! Looking forward to seeing my trees grow, and produce.
Howdy. What was that twig that was sent2C to folks? Some say they order a tree, and got a dead twig instead ?
I bought roses worth $86.00 from this SUMMERSTONE NURSERY but I didn't get what I've paid for...The roses I've ordered and paid were all far from what I've expected and have seen from the posted website ...out of 8 plants only 2 made it and they were totally different from what I've ordered... they emailed me saying the plants were already shipped and will received within 72 hours but it did not happened instead it arrived 12 days after that email..I received the plant totally so dry and I have to soak it in water for 24 hrs as instructed before planting them yet only 1 rose plant made it out of 8 and I found out it's not the ones I've expected as it was labeled...It's so frustrating...this SUMMERSTONE NURSERY is a big fraud company and their license should be revoked and business be closed.
For those who are trying to order from this nursery better not do so...just go to your nearest nursery in town and don't be bothered to pay a little more as long as you are sure of what you're pay
I agree. Since I wrote this article, I have had nothing but bad experiences. Like I jenxed my self. I bought 50 Crape Myrtles...Only 2 lived. They would not refund my money either!!! Nor honor their guarantee!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Better google "Summerstone Nursery complaints" before buying from them. Below is one site listing 17 complaints about them. Plus, there website was up last week and now it is down. HMMMMM!
