Summertime Sightings

Tony Payne
See all those white skins
Lying up the blazing sun
With sunny days and blue skies
The Summer has begun

The wise they put on sunscreen
And they don't stay out too long
But all that spraying often leaves
Behind a fragrant pong

But others aren't so sensible
Soaking up the suns bright rays
Too soon before they know it
They become Lobster Anglais

Great poem. Not only do they become lobsters, but they're taking the chances of getting skin cancer later down the road.

I just left a comment on another poem about the summer and saying almost this. About the white bodies and a day later looking like lobsters.
