Sunday at the New Church

Sunday morning at the new church.
So its Sunday morn and the wife says 'lets go to the church down the road'-ok I'm game. so we go.This being one of those non denominational churches,I dress casual.I'm wearing a bright orange T-shirt that says in big letters "It's in the Sauce" gotten from some buffalo wing place,my son worked at for two whole days.Now I've seen some weird stuff in my time,but this was a sight to behold.Seven chairs and what looked like seven aliens,dressed as angels, directly behind them.They beckoned this small congregation to take turns at the 'healing chairs'.My turn came ,and what the heck, a little healing never hurt anyone.The Minister is speaking of the dreaded disease AIDS. In retrospect that should have been my que to get the fuck out.I'm listening and I can see the Minister reading my T- shirt.Ok perhaps I should have worn something a little more appropriate.After a lttle eye contact,I'm starting to get a little uncomfortable.Then this Minister lurches into how his beloved boyfriend died of aids,and how difficult and yet uplifting his coming out of the closet was. Sweet Jesus!! Here I am front and center,in big orange letters "Its in the Sauce" no wonder he's looking at me as a possible convert.So I grabbed my wife and told her I'm leaving.Well after screaming thats the last time I'll go to any church with you,she was in tears.She did not know about this church only noticed the pleasant architecture.So how was your Sunday?
