Sunday Reflections- Nomad Prayer

Loraine Alkire
Alone but never alone, we pray, head up towards the sky or head down kissing the sand of a vast desert. We are never alone as long as we have hope, faith, and love (and perhaps a camel). We all have a gift, a camel, a desert to cross. This is temporary. We don't see clearly why we struggle, why we cross the desert at all; why we choose at times to go into the desert alone; or why at times we seem to have been put there. There is a time and place for everything under the sun.

May you find in your desert the unmistakeble reality of God's existence within your heart and soul and always be thankful for your camel.
