Sundays in the Park, is a great, free family event for all ages. Todd Grove Park offers play equipment for children such as swings, sliders and monkey bars, barbeque grill, tables and plenty of room for blanket picnics and camp chairs on the field around the stage. Sit down and listen to the band or get up and dance, either way it is a lot of fun and a great way to let loose and have fun.
This event is a great chance to get out and get to know those in the community. Children love it, since they get to run around, play, dance, and hear different types of music. Adults love it as there children are able to play with other kids in a family friendly environment and they to get to relax and engage in adult conversation, many of the time with people they have never met.
Sundays in the Park is a great way to spend your Sunday evening before the busy workweek starts. Bring some hamburgers or hotdogs, buns, potato salad, mayo, mustard and of course a garbage bag for clean up. Light up a grill and enjoy a flame cooked meal right at the park. Be responsible though and clean up all your messes and clean off the grill for others to use.
Pets are welcome as well, but colors and leashes are required. Also be sure to be pet responsible, if you pet makes a mess, clean it up and discard of it. This will keep the park clean, others happy and pets will remain welcome.
Scheduled bands include the following by date:
June 14: Charlie Musselwhite- Legendary Blues harmonica
June 28: Tom Rigney & Flambeau- Blazin' Cajan & Swamp Zydeco
July 12: Katio Moraes & Sambaguru- Searing Brazilian Beat
July 26: Bumpus- Chicago Funk & Soul
August 2: John Mattern Reunion Band- R&B, Swing and Jazz

Great California pieces, Jessica. I lived in Anaheim and then Torrance for a while, but never made it to Ukiah area. Nice new photo of you, too!
