Sunlight Through the Falling Leaves

Julie Wimmer
Sunlight through the falling leaves
is something I love each year in fall,
even though it makes some sneeze,
this time of year is loved by all.

Sunlight through the falling leaves,
shines as the wind blows by.
We feel so crisp from the slight breeze,
and we enjoy the time as it starts to fly.

Sunlight through the falling leaves,
lasts shorter now during this season.
Pumpkins, cinnamon, pine cone wreathes;
this time of year is very pleasing.

    I enjoy fall, but it still feels like summer here so it is hard to think about pumpkins and changing leaves. I do however get the sneezing thing. : O

    I just got a vision of lying under a pile of leaves as a child and looking up at the sky through little gaps in the leaves. I can almost smell the dead leaves and grass. Thanks for bringing up memories of childhood. Now if I could only run and jump into a big pile of leaves without breaking something. :)
