Sun-Maid Raisins: 100% Natural and Grown in California

Bernadette
On our last visit to the local discount store we were very happy to find Sun-Maid Raisins on the shelf. We bought the raisins for $1.60 for a 15-ounce container. Since this was a good discounted price, we bought a few packages. We enjoy eating raisins because they are delicious and nutritious.

We like the packages that were on sale because they each have a plastic cover. After you remove the inner seal, simply cover with the plastic cover and your raisins will keep fresh.

Since 1912, Sun-Maid has offered the finest raisins and dried fruits to consumers.

Sun-Maid Raisins are 100% natural and are grown in California. The raisins contain no preservatives. We like this fact because many other sweet snack items do contain preservatives. When we eat Sun-Maid Raisins we enjoy a sweet treat without worrying about eating preservatives.

Some nutritional information follows. According to the raisin package, one-quarter cup (approximately 1.5 ounces) of delicious Sun-Maid Raisins is equivalent to one fruit serving. There are only 130 calories per serving. Each serving of raisins contain 0g of fat and 0mg of cholesterol. Every serving of raisins has 2g of dietary fiber. If you are watching your sugar intake, the raisins contain 29g of sugar per serving.

On the container Sun-Maid lets consumers know that they may find an occasional wood piece or grape stem in the raisins because the stems are removed mechanically.

Click here to visit the interesting and informative Sun-Maid website. While visiting the website you can, among other things, read about how grapes become raisins. In addition you will discover that a real person was the original Sun-Maid girl and that her image has been on Sun-Maid packages since 1916.

You can enjoy Sun-Maid Raisins by eating them directly out of the package for a quick and nutritious snack. Try packing some in a school or work lunch bag. They are sure to be welcomed. Adding some raisins to plain yogurt or cereal, whether hot or cold, makes a tasty treat.

Sun-Maid Raisins can also be added to many recipes. Some of the recipes given on the Sun-Maid website include recipes for main dishes, side dishes, salads, and desserts. You can also search for recipes by ingredient or keyword. Another search option is to search by the type of meal, for example lunch.

It would be terrific if the Sun-Maid Raisins were still available for sale the next time we shop at the local discount store. Sun-Maid Raisins are especially delicious!
