Sunnyvale City Council is considering banning these bags in our local stores. There is a current study underway and you can voice your opinion about the ban. Thursday, October 21, 2010 there are two meetings at the following locations:
Morning meeting--10 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Sunnyvale Community Center Neighborhood Room (meeting held in the Recreation Building), 555 E. Remington Drive, Sunnyvale
Evening meeting--7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Sunnyvale Materials Recovery and Transfer Station, 301 Carl Road in the administrative building
Your feedback will become part of the report that will impact the Council's decision whether to ban--or not ban--the use of plastic bags at the checkout counter in our local stores.
As part of the study, the community feedback will be taken into consideration. If you can't attend one of the meetings, you can complete the online survey:
