Sunnyvale School District's Parent-Teacher Conferences 2010

It's conference time again when Sunnyvale parents are given the opportunity to meet with their student's teachers for an overview of how students are doing in school. We know parents lead very busy lives. Because your lives are already jammed packed, attending a conference with your child's teacher may seem like an inconvenience. In reality, however, it is an important connection between you and your student's school. Don't miss the opportunity to be involved.

When you go to the conference, you will only have a few minutes, so make a list of questions ahead of time so you don't forget something important. Go beyond, "How is my child doing in school?" Ask specific things such as "Is my child having any difficulties in speaking aloud?" Think about things that concern you at home and work those concerns into the questions at the conference. It will help you know if your child needs extra help in areas that may be indicating problems beyond curriculum.

Parent-teacher conference week for Sunnyvale schools is scheduled for Monday November 15^th through Friday, November 19^th. If you can't make your scheduled time, please let the school know ahead of time as schedules are tight this year.
