I had never tried any of Sunsilk's products before but I decided to buy the Anti-Poof because I love how jojoba oil makes my hair feel, and I definitely needed help in taming my poofy hair.
The Sunsilk 24/7 Anti-Poof cost $3.99 when I bought it from CVS at the time, but it's on Amazon.com now for $2.49. It comes in a 7 oz. blue bottle. Sunsilk claims that it contains hair and "keeps hair from getting bigger and bigger. 24/7 Creme is not a conditioner, not a gel - it combines the best of both. So you'll get under control hair without that heavy feel."
The Sunsilk Anti-Poof actually contains cetaryl alchohol which is one of the main ingredients in a lot of conditioners, so I felt confident that this product would moisturize and tame my poofy strands.
When I first purchased the 24/7 Anti-Poof Creme my hair was a bit damaged and dry, so this product didn't work miracles for me. Now my hair is in better condition but it still gets extremely poofy whenever it's even slightly dry or if I handle it too much.
After I shampooed my hair last week, it became frizzy and huge. I put a ton of conditioner on it but no matter how much I applied it just wouldn't become smoother. I knew that if I just styled it with oils once it dried it was going to look poofy and frizzy.
So I decided to try the Sunsilk Anti-Poof. As soon as I applied it to my damp strands I noticed an immediate difference. The 24/7 Creme feels creamy and moisturizing like a conditioner but it's slightly sticky like a gel and it also has an oily feel.
It moisturized my hair completely and reduced most of it's bulkiness and frizz. The Sunsilk Anti-Poof also gave it hold because once my hair was completely dry my curls held their shape and remained frizz-free even when I separated them. It also gave my curls a lot of shine.
The next day when I got minor frizz I was able to apply a bit of the Sunsilk Creme to my dry locks and it instantly eliminated the dryness and frizz I was experiencing without weighing my style down.
In the End...
Sunsilk's 24/7 Anti-Poof Creme is my hair's new best friend. I have a thick and frizzy texture that can become unruly, but this product helped to tame it and give it moisture.
It might weigh finer textures down, but I recommend it for thick, curly, or frizzy hair types. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
