Well I got out of work late one evening, and had to be in Wausau the next afternoon, but my friends and myself were just to tired to drive all the way to Wausau that night, so we decided to look for a motel in Green Bay which is about 2 1/2 hours from our destination. We drove around which felt like hours looking for a motel, and everything was booked. We finally looked at this motel, that really didn't look inviting, and decided to see if there was a room available. We were in luck. One room, 2 double beds for 79.00 for the night. So I signed in, and asked the clerk some questions. He was very informative, and friendly. He helped me with my bags. And showed us where our room would be. Then asked if there was anything else he could help us with. We said no thank you and he was on his way. Now from a distance this hotel does not look very big, but, it has 2 floors, must have been at least 60 or more rooms, they have an elevator, soda and snack & ice machines. A small but wonderful Jacuzzi/Sauna right off of the lobby. Where I got to soak my aching feet from a long day taking pictures of little ones.

Our room was very clean and nicely decorated, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the bedding had a fresh smell to them. We had a TV, dresser, table and chairs, air conditioner, desk, vanity outside of the bathroom, and a shower and bath. Plenty of soft white towels, area to hang our clothes. There were floor and table lamps.

As it was one of Wisconsin's hot and humid nights we turned on the air-conditioner, changed to casual clothes, unpacked what we were going to use and hung up the rest, and down to the soda machine for a nice cold soda. Then off to the lobby were they had a computer that that is for the quests. As we had to make plane reservations for my friend for a return trip to Florida. At this time I also asked the clerk if he would call ahead and make reservations for us for the next day at the Super 8 Motel, in Wausau, WI. He called the Motel in Wausau and set everything up for us.

There was information in the lobby, so I went and was browsing through the pamphlets, flyer's and magazines. I found a local magazine with coupons in it, there was a coupon for Super 8 Motel, for $59.00 per one evening. I went up to the desk and ask the clerk how long this coupon was good for. He asked me if I would like to take it of of this evening, I said yes and it saved us $20.00 to bring our price down to $59.00 which was great. As he filled out the paper work, we were still searching for coupons, and found one for Denny's which was located across the street. So we were off to have a late supper. (There were so many places around us to eat, Apple bee's, there was an Italian restaurant, pizza, and more). After supper we picked up some extra snacks and soda fro the weekend at the BP gas station, and we were on our way back to the motel. All of this is was within walking distance. (There are Malls, Jo Ann Fabrics, Body Works, furniture stores, Steins Gardens Gifts and more. Oneida street has them all).

Back in our room we watched some TV set the alarm and were fast asleep. In the morning we took hot showers and I mean there was hot water, some places it gets more warm than hot. Got dressed, went and had our continental breakfast of cereal, donuts, bagels, fruit, juice, milk and coffee. We decided to do some shopping at the local Mall before we checked out so we packed up our bags and headed across the street to the Mall. We picked up somethings we needed, and of course some we didn't really need and saw that it was close to 11 a.m. check out time We headed back to the Motel packed up the car, checked out and were on our way.

This Super 8 Motel was exceptionally nice as it was very quiet. There was no running in the halls, or loud music. We had a very nice stay.

Love this article! Really informative. It's true, Green Bay really has a lot to offer - and it has more to offer when it comes to Green Bay Wisconsin hotels. The last time we visited, we did not have to worry about looking for accommodations. The city has a lot of hotels and motels that visitors can choose from. It was definitely not hard to find one that suits our budget.

Really informative article. It's an interesting read as well. Green Bay has certainly a lot to offer. Its National Railroad Museum is certainly one of a kind. Fortunately, we didn't have difficulty looking for Green Bay hotel rooms because the city has a lot to offer when it comes to accommodations. We definitely enjoyed our time there.
