Black and Gold fans in Pittsburgh and around the country are excited about the upcoming 2009 schedule because it looks like its going to a much easier road to the Super Bowl this year. The Steelers had one of the most difficult schedules in the NFL last season when they faced both the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles twice and also played the powerhouse teams of New England, New York Giants, Dallas and Tennessee. Despite having one of the hardest schedules in the league and defying all the critics and odds makers, they made history and won their 6th Super Bowl Championship.
The Pittsburgh Steelers won a Super Bowl after enduring one of the NFL's toughest schedules in 2008, but things will get a little easier when they try to defend their title in 2009.
