Super Bowl Party Appetizer Recipes

Easy Appetizer Recipes!

Jacqueline Giovanniello
Planning a Super Bowl party can sometimes be thrown at you at the last minute, so you don't always have the time to prepare. Super Bowl parties are usually big on appetizers and finger food so that you don't need to serve a big meal. Appetizers and Beer, you really don't need anything else!

Dips are always a big hit for a Super Bowl Party, one of my favorites is Spinach Dip!

Spinach Dip
2 tsp Olive Oil
2 cloves garlic
1/2 cup milk
3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
1 med onion
2 lbs spinach
6 ounces of cream cheese
3 dashes of hot sauce
salt & pepper
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
In large pot, saute onions and garlic in oil until browned. Add spinach and cook until wilted. Drain.
In same pot, warm milk over high heat and add in cream cheese until melted. Add spinach, worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese, stir until combined. Season with salt & pepper.
Pour into lightly grease baking dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake until bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips, bread or baguettes.

Another favorite appetizer served at Super Bowl parties are Chicken Wings. Always cut off tips of wings and discard before preparing.

Easy Baked Chicken Wings
3 lbs of chicken wings
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
Mix ingredients and pour over the wings. marinate overnight.
Remove wings from marinade and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
Serve and enjoy!

Buffalo Chicken Wings
4 lbs chicken wings
ground black pepper and salt
4 cups vegetable oil
4 tablespoons butter
5 tablespoons hot sauce
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
Season wings with salt and pepper. Heat oil over high heat in a deep skillet and add half the chicken. Cook until crisp. When they are done remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Cook remaining wings and drain.
Melt butter in a heavy sauce pan and add hot sauce and white wine vinegar. Still well and remove from heat immediately. Pour over chicken and serve with blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.

Another good Appetizer idea is pulled pork sandwiches. In a Crockpot cook pork with barbecue sauce for 6-8 hours, when done shred pork and assemble on bread. Very easy and delicious.

Super Bowl Sunday should be a stress free event, so cooking should be easy. Making easy appetizers is a great way to impress your guests and still have time to enjoy the game.
