Great Food. What's a party without great food. Every great Super Bowl party has to have food. Restaurants and grocery stores now this. They will flood your mailbox with tons of coupons for this weekend. They will use lots of commercials to remind you of all the deals they have going on. Whatever you choose to buy, make sure you have a variety. Pizza is always a favorite. Pizza places have lots of great deals to entice you. Don't forget to add the chips and dip and plenty of drinks.
The right TV. In this day and age, you can't just have any old T.V. To make it simple, If you don't have HD, you don't have anything! Make sure the place you are watching the game has a nice sized HD TV. If you are thinking of buying a TV, this could be a great time to get one. With Income Tax Refunds in the mail, many electronic stores are lowering their prices to lure buyers into their stores before the big game.
Plenty of Space. Make sure you have lots of space to host your Super Bowl party. You need to evaluate your home and decide if it will hold the people you plan on inviting. Even if you aren't' inviting lots of people, you will need to make sure people have plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Have plenty of comfortable seating. With the extra commercials and extended half-time your party could last as long as five or six hours. You don't want to spend that time being crowded together.
Football fanatics. If you want a good party, you want to invite those people who really love the game. It's already tough to watch the game if your team is out of the playoffs, so don't invite a group of people who really don't care about the game. You want those fans who get into the game and will root for someone, even if it's not really their team.
Halftime Entertainment. Every year the Super Bowl has some mega star perform during halftime. Unfortunately this performer is not always as entertaining as the networks want you to believe. You need to have a plan for entertaining your guest during halftime. Great board games are an idea. A great discussion can keep things going. If the weather cooperates you could throw the football around in the yard. Whatever you do, have a plan for keeping guests entertained during halftime.
