Super Bowl Party Recipes

Crowd Pleasers that Are Easy to Prepare

Joetown
When the big Super Bowl game day arrives, it is party time in most households throughout the United States. Party time means fun and good food. With the cost of everything going up and up, it can be simpler and much cheaper to prepare the party foods at home. This saves money but unless easy to make, time saving recipes are chosen, cooks can end up spending too much time in the kitchen and miss out on the big game.

Pizza is always popular at Super Bowl parties but delivery can be expensive, frozen pizzas often lack taste and quality, and creating a homemade pizza is a time consuming effort. That's why I like to prepare this Easy Pizza Bake each year when it is Super Bowl Sunday.

Easy Pizza Bake

The ingredients are these:
3 1/3 cups baking mix (Jiffy, Bisquick, Pioneer, store brand)
1 cup Milk
1 large 16 ounce can or jar of prepared spaghetti sauce
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
8 ounces sliced pepperoni, 1 pound browned hamburger, or 1 pound cooked sausage (or all three!0

Preheat oven to 375 and spray a 13 x 9 baking pan with cooking spray.

Mix baking mix and milk together in a bowl until smooth. Drop big spoonfuls of the mixture onto the bottom of the baking pan. Then pour half of the sauce over the dough and add the meat. Top with 1 cup of the cheese then alternate sauce and cheese in layers.

Bake for 20 -25 minutes until brown, slice and enjoy!

Ham & Cheese Crescents
My boss at the radio station where I used to work made these for every party and they are so simple yet so delicious

1 package (or as many as you want to prepare) crescent rolls from the dairy case
1 pound of your favorite deli meat (ham, turkey, roast beef) sliced very fine
1 pound shredded cheese of your choice

Seperate crescent rolls; top each triangle of dough with meat & cheese then roll up with care. Bake as directed and enjoy!

Ranch Popcorn

Popcorn is always a favorite at Super Bowl parties and this recipe is a new twist, combining traditional popcorn with the popular flavor of ranch dressing.

Ingredients
6 quarts popped corn
1 envelope dry ranch salad dressing mix
1 cup melted butter

Combine dry salad dressing with the melted butter then toss with the popcorn to spread the flavor. Great treat!

Meaty Muffins

Meatloaf is a favorite stick-to-your-ribs dish but these muffins offer the same taste with an easy way to enjoy the taste of meatloaf without the fuss.

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef or ground turkey
1 package stuffing mix
1 cup water
1/4 cup tomato sauce, salsa, or other liquid
1 cup shredded cheese

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 12 cup muffin pan well with cooking spray. Combine all ingredients except the cheese and then press meat mixture into the muffin cups. Make an indent on the top of each muffin and bake for 25 minutes. Remove, add cheese to the indent and return to oven for another 5 minutes, then serve.

Hint: These pop out of the pan better if you allow them to sit for about five minutes before serving

These are some of my favorite Super Bowl party dishes that are easy and different.

Enjoy!

  • Save on the cost of pizza delivery with this simple pizza bake
  • Enjoy crescent rolls with a twist
  • Meat can be an ingredient for muffins too
I love meatloaf but I seldom make the traditional "loaf" any more - the muffins are so easy to make and simple to serve. Plus they don't fall apart like sometimes a loaf shaped meatloaf might!
