Directions for Super Bowl Pigskin Hero with Cold Cuts

1
Slice Loaf of Bread Lengthwise and Build Sandwich
Spread mayonnaise on one slice of bread and dijon mustard on the other slice. Alternate layers of roast pork, ham, capicola, proscuitto, canadian bacon and bacon strips with layers of cheese. Spread applesauce thinly over top meat layer. Layer in apple slices, tomato slices and lettuce leaves.
2
Serve Cold or Warm
Serve cold or warm in oven to melt cheese. Slice into 2 or 4 pieces. Serve with beer or white wine.
Tip
This hero can serve between 1 and 4 people depending on their appetites. For additional flavor add asian plum sauce (available in most supermarkets) in addition to mustard, mayonnaise and applesauce. Add or substitue Brie cheese slices if desired. Tarragon leaves are optional. Sandwich is also great warmed so cheese melts. Great with beer or white wine.
