This move by the NFL organization and its committee was a bold way of saying to the general public that this is America's game, and it also sends a powerful message to these individuals proclaiming and fighting for equal and civil rights. Simply put, there is no place for this type of advertisement during one of the most important games that millions of people world-wide will view on a Sunday afternoon.
The youth of America have enough to contend with in this everchanging society they live in, if this ad would have been played on the prime time network it may have opened up all types of other provocative entertainment in years to come that may lead many youth thinking in the wrong direction.
NFL football is Americas game, and it is a game that is shared and loved by many, it is also a family orientated game, a game to be cherished - and not to be altered by any one group or people, I commend Commissioner Goodell for having the courage and dignity for upholding the moral values of the Super Bowl and everything it stands for.
