The first thing that comes to mind when you talk about this matchup is the two quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger.
Rodgers is coming into his own as he looks to conclude his third year as a starter with a Super Bowl victory while Roethlisberger is ready to add a third Super Bowl ring and add his name to the all-time greats.
Aside from the media outlets focusing on the two quarterbacks, the real attention should be on their respective defensive units.
The Steelers and Packers enter this contest with the top two defense sin the NFL when it came to scoring. The Steelers allowed 14.5 points per game while the Packers allowed 15.0 points per game.
Both teams like to put pressure on the quarterbacks with their own blitzing packages. The two units combined for 95 sacks during the season.
If the Steelers are going to come away with a win, they will need to have a big game from their stud running back, Rashard Mendenhall. The Steelers are 5-1 when Mendenhall is able to rack up at least 80 yards on the ground.
This could be bad news for Packers fans considering their defense gave up 114.9 yards per game on the ground.
If the Packers want to come home with a Super Bowl championship, their defensive unit will need to find a way to win the turnover battle. During the regular season, the Packers hauled in 24 interceptions and forced 14 fumbles.
The secondary tandem of Charles Woodson and Tramon Williams has been a terror on the opposition this season. The Packers will need to work for the turnovers considering the Steelers only produce 18 turnovers on offense.
If you are expecting an offensive explosion by either team, you are going to be disappointed. Each defense will come ready to play and will hold the teams in check for the most part.
The game is going to come down to a big play or two on defense. When it is all said and done, the Cheeseheads are going to be celebrating the night away.
