Super, Easy Cinnamon Pie Pizza from Pillsbury's Refrigerated Thin Pizza Crust Dough....As Good as Pizza Delivery

Memmay Moore
Is there any thing better tasting than a lovely warm cinnamon pastry fresh from the oven, covered with creamy white frosting? The taste, texture and wonderful aroma of this old-time treat is enough to corrupt the most dedicated dieter and satisfy the sweetest sweet tooth. Worried that today's pizza lovers also need a sweet dessert; pizza chains all over the country have developed a cinnamon pie pizza using their own pizza dough, cinnamon, sugar, butter and white creamy frosting. Cinnamon Pie Pizza can come in various shapes, wedges, squares or strips but basically it is just one tasty treat.

After experimenting in our state of the art test kitchen, my son, Tim Terrific has come up with this awesome recipe just as good as the pricey Cinnamon Pie Pizza treats delivered by Pizza Delivery, and it is as they say "easy as pie" to make. You only need a few ingredients, Pillsbury Thin Crust refrigerated pizza dough, any pre-made white frosting in a tub, found in the cake mix section plus ground cinnamon, sugar and butter. This Cinnamon Pie Pizza recipe is also a great cooking activity for kids of all ages.

The Pillsbury Company (the one with that chubby little Pillsbury Dough Boy) has a few suggestions when using its refrigerated pizza dough.

*Keep the dough in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

*Don't open the container until you are ready to use the dough. Once the container is open, the dough will lose its ability to rise after it "pops"

*Always preheat the oven first.

For those watching their sugar intake, a little bit of Cinnamon Pie Pizza goes a long way...Everything in moderation.

Oooh, I'll take mine with hot tea please. I think the cream cheese ready-made frosting would be yummy with it. Yay Tim Terrific, my sons, nieces and nephew will love this.

We're about to be snowed in. This ought to keep teenage appetites in check (between meals)

This sounds good, but I was solely perplexed when I saw that Pizza Hut was selling this type of thing with the pizza. Who needs MORE pizza dough for dessert after eating a pizza!?

    Yum. That is beautiful Memmay.
