SUPER TYPHOON LUPIT INTENSIFIES, HEADING FAST TOWARDS RP!

SB
Another super typhoon , Lupit is heading fast towards Philippines, whose strength intensified quickly in less than 24 hours from a tropical depression now to a typhoon

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA,) reported that the typhoon started to build up on October 14, as a tropical depression over the Western Pacific and was seen consistently accelerating; sustaining winds of 65 knots of 120 kilometers per hour and gusts up to 80 knots, or148 kilometers per hour.

Just like the two past super typhoons of Ketsana and Parma, Lupit strongly headed in the general direction of RP.

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA's Aqua satellite captured the very threatening image of typhoon October 16, 2009 at about 12:41A.M. to 12:45 a.m. EDT, (12:45 P.M. Asia/Manila Time)

Lupit's cloud temperatures were colder than minus 63 Fahrenheit (-52.78 C), which indicates very cold, high and strong thunderstorms within.

In the Philippines, meteorologists will be referring to the storm by the name of "Ramil."

The movement of the storm was seen very aggressive and swirling clouds fill most of the scene as the typhoon spans several hundred kilometers heading from the west and going to the Northern side of the country.

It can be recalled that super typhoon Ketsana (Ondoy) flooded Metro Manila, Rizal Province, Central and some of Southern Luzon, causing 277 deaths, displaced more 340,000 families; 2 million individuals and close to P5.B damages on properties and infrastructure.

And in barely 8 days followed by another storm, Parma that caused several landslides, death of 12 lives and hurting 300 more others from the north.

Really? That's why people are always in misery, those agencies and offices responsible to deliver information to the public, aren't doing their jobs well. So frustrating!
