Superficial Christianity

Nothing makes me sicker than "dilute" Christianity. I have seen it way to much in the USA. Yes, there are a few genuine Christians I met, but there are only a few.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is twisted and the New Testament is ignored, and God not obeyed so that we can do what we want to do and still go to heaven. Here is the deception: those who do to obey God, will not go to Heaven. It is as simple as that. The Bible clearly tell us in Galatians chapter 5 that those who fulfill the lust of the flesh (and it doesn't include only sexual problems), the desire to be our own god, will not inherit Heaven.

It's true that our goal in obeying God shouldn't be based on the desire to just go in Heaven. A deeper passion should blaze into our hearts: love for Him. Jesus is not a figment of my imagination or yours. He is real and His Word is true. I heard people say before that the Bible is not a book of conduct and that we don't have to follow it, but just pray and let God tell us what to do.

Listen, God has already said it in a letter what He had to say. I am totally an advocate of listening to God because He always speaks. In Job is written that He speaks in one form or another, but people do not pay attention. But, if you do not know what God would want from you, just read about Him in the Word and see His character. Would He change His character? If He says a lie is a lie then I do not need to pray to see if in my case the lie is a lie. I know it is. God already expressed His heart and what He believes about lying.

Some people think they do not need to follow the Word, but just do what they hear God say and please nobody judge them because that is wrong. The Word of God is hear to show us the way when we have no idea what he is whispering in our ears; in fact sometimes a scripture you read will be God whispering in your ear. For what is the difference if I tell my mom in a letter that I love her or in person? The communication method is different, but the message is the same.

So, please let's stop playing games with God and obey Him. Jesus said, "He who loves Me , obeys Me." So, the problem is not God, but us. Do we really love Him?
