Superman Swoops Up New Lois Lane in Amy Adams

Not that it hasn't been a long time but many are continuing to wonder what had happened to the man of steel. Perhaps he had decided to simply take a vacation somewhere warm and let all things that may be simply be. Perhaps he had taken out a loan from some of the wrong kinds of people and has been hiding out. Not that he couldn't defend himself if necessary, he just doesn't even like the idea of attempted violence.

Whatever the reason as to why it has been so long, Superman will be making another appearance shortly. Word is, he has inked a deal to film the next installation in his life beginning this August. Not that Superman couldn't have almost any woman of his choosing, but it looks like this time he has scored a darling. That should by no means imply that when it comes to Superman every woman on the planet would be a pushover. Certainly some ladies wouldn't necessarily find him to be their type. After all he is from another planet and runs around in pajamas and a cape like a mental patient. Still, most would probably be able to see past that.

This time the beautiful starlet to play the super hero's love interest will be Amy Adams. A fine choice. She has demonstrated an incredible range in film starring in everything from animated featured to her most recently Oscar nominated performance in The Fighter.

Adams is sweet and playful yet exudes a grown up maturity and sensuality that she can manipulate on screen at will. Certainly if the glowing green from a brick of kryptonite can take down Superman, surely he will have his hands full trying to resist the charms of this elegant red head.

In the four prior variations of the super hero film anthology starring Christopher Reeve, the Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane was played by Margot Kidder. Kidder possessed both strength and vulnerability on screen while being able to throw around just enough grass roots sexiness to ensnare the heart of Reeve's character.

Subsequently in the 2006 rendition of Superman Returns, Kate Bosworth played the part, bringing her own take on the always lovable and ambitions Lane. Although a decent watch, this version didn't necessarily carry the same weight as the previous series. A number of reasons could account for the variance. Most likely it was the fact that Reeve's as the costumed crusader cast a large shadow to overcome. He was in a classic sense, simply memorable.

Director Zach Snyder believes that Adams possesses everything necessary to capture all that we love about Lois Lane including her warmth, charm and beauty.
