Chad Lindberg is the kind of actor that makes nerds look cool, but his guest-starring role on NBC's "The Cape" lets him show his fans something different. "A lot of people think I am going to be the techie nerd, but I'm kind of something different," Lindberg said via telephone, talking about his villainous turn on "The Cape."

Fans of the CW show "Supernatural" know Lindberg as the techno-savvy Ash , a mullet-wearing genius who once attended MIT. Though Ash apparently had been killed off in Season 2, the character reappeared thanks to a fan-based Twitter campaign.

In 2001, Lindberg also played the computer expert named Jesse in " The Fast and the Furious ," displaying a genius IQ along with symptoms of Attention-Deficit Disorder (ADD). Once again, Lindberg's techno -nerd character met an untimely end.

For "The Cape," though, Lindberg said the door is wide open for a return visit. "Once they (the producers) see the shows, they will gravitate towards the villains they like the most. I would love to come back, should the show continue," Lindberg said.

On the 'Goggles and Hicks' episode, Lindberg plays Hicks, a character that he describes as somewhat eccentric. "For this particular role, the studio was looking for a bigger guy to play this particular assassin and I went in there to show them something different," Lindberg said.

Lindberg, who has had his share of guest-starring roles over the years, said everyone on the set of the superhero series was very welcoming. "I had a blast. I got to do things I had never got to do before. We get to go up against the Cape -and I want to see that," he said.

On Monday evening, Lindberg plans to have a few friends over to watch his performance as Hicks. "My close friends will probably think it's funny to see me in a certain light," he said.

Lindberg doesn't get to rest on his laurels, though. The following evening, he will join his fellow cast members for a special signing of " I Spit on Your Grave ," the 2010 remake of the classic horror film. "It's some of my most proudest work as an actor. I'm excited for people to see it and I hope it will make a big splash," he said.
