One of my favorite episodes was "Hollywood Babylon" in which many of the issues fans have with the show were kiddingly addressed. One of the characters, playing a character playing a character in a horror film, questioned why spirits would be afraid of salt as opposed to other condiments.
Regardless of the fun times we've had with you two evil-killing brothers, I must bid you adieu. I miss the monster of the week episodes. I haven't been able to get into the angel storyline and two episodes into season 5, I have to say, I'm calling it quits. Just like Sam (Jared Padalecki) had to quit drinking demon's blood, (why? He was awesome when he was like that) I have to quite watching you two look soulfully at one another and blast bad guys.In the second episode of season two, "Good God Ya'll", the show officially jumped the shark in my opinion. Honestly, having one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, "War", riding in a red mustang to simulate the fiery red horse foretold in the book of Revelations? Really? And that his powers were so finite that he had to have a ring to brainwash a town into killing each other? Silly. I'd have given it another chance, but when angel gone rogue, Castiel (Misha Collins), has to take the Eskimo amulet that Dean's (Jensen Ackles) been wearing the entire series to help "find God" well, that's it fella's.
Apparently next in the storyline is the group searching for God to convince him to help out with the whole Lucifer rising thing. There's a no-name character who is supposed to be a soldier who fought in Fallujah, and I find myself twice (or maybe it's more) hating a character that's supposed to have been a Marine or a Soldier. Being a soldier, I always get weird on how they are portrayed on the show. When the episode ended this Thursday with a "cliffhanger" that I am sure was intended to leave me slack-jawed and begging for resolution, I found myself instead saying, "Meh. I wonder what's on Fox." At least this will give me time to watch Fringe.

Post a CommentOMG can I just say if you are a fan and that is a big IF how can u write off supernatural so easily. It has been awesome throughout and this season will be no different. Also the Castiel story and character are brilliant. All I can say is that it is your loss and Supernatural kicks arse x
Really? You thought War riding into town in a cherry red mustang should have been riding into town on a red horse? Cause that's the mode of transportation these days. I find it sad that you are going to quit watching a show 2 episodes in, must not have been much of a fan any way. I'm positive you will miss out on a great season.
I care so deeply about what you think of the show, I'm going to tune in tomorrow night anyway. Please. We're two eps in, you can't possibly see where this is going to go.
Wow! Only 2 episodes have played. Haven't even seen what they will do with the looking for God bit eaither or is that just to deep for you to grasp? You must like to wach that reality tv crap.
fine, it's your opinion, but the last episode left me "slack-jawed and begging for resolution".
I don't get your problem. I think, Eric Kripke is a genious and I can hardly wait to see how the brother (maybe) get back together!
