Supple Mature Skin at an Economical Price

Millions of women in the United States and Canada will spend upwards of $30.00 for a few ounces of a beauty cream. These consumers are usually mature women desperately seeking to escape the signs of aging revealed by skin that's dry, wrinkled, uneven in complexion, and sagging. But, how many of these ladies are truly satisfied with the results? How many promises made by the manufacturers of these products are actually kept? The answer to both questions is quite obvious considering that one consumer buys, on average, a variety of beauty creams as her quest for youthful skin meets with one frustration after another. Is there hope without surgery? Yes, there is.

Although the health of the skin is affected by diet and exercise, there are all natural substances on which women have relied for thousands of years to keep their skin youthful. What is one of these substances? Since antiquity, frankincense has been known to possess restorative and nutritive properties, particularly affecting the skin ( Kathy Keville), and according to Botanical.com, it's still employed to this day in China to help treat leprosy. It was one of the three gifts of very high value that the baby Jesus received from the wise men and it is still of great value for the skin today.

Where can frankincense be purchased? In what form should it be used? Most health food stores of any size sell frankincense in various forms. However, the most economical and convenient form is a 100% natural oil blend produced by companies such as Now Foods. The oil blend consists of 80% "carrier" oil, grape seed oil being the usual choice to "carry" the 20% frankincense. It's okay if other carrier oils such as jojoba, olive, or almond are used. The label will usually advise to refrain from directly applying the oil blend to the skin and from ingestion. These warning should be heeded. Oil blends tend to be sold in quantities of one fluid ounce for an average of $10.00. Considering that only a few drops are used per treatment, one ounce can easily last longer than a year.

How should frankincense be used? The wonderful advantage to using a natural frankincense oil blend to treat mature skin lies in the fact that it can be used in almost any existing beauty product. That product acts as a carrier. This means that a few drops of frankincense may be added to a basic night cream, a moisturizing cream, and even to make-up.

Frankincense should not be pre-mixed into other beauty creams or make-up, but rather mixed at the time of use. If beauty cream is being applied, simply squeeze a small amount of the cream into the palm of the hand into which a few drops of frankincense oil blend is added and then applied to the face as usual . When applying make-up, the same technique is employed when working with a liquid make-up. If the make-up is in stick form, simply dab the face with the stick first. Drop a few drops of frankincense into the palm of the hands and pick up with the fingers to dab onto the face. Both the make-up and the oil blend are applied together. This allows the skin to receive the benefit of being treated with frankincense twice daily.

How long does it take for results to be visible? Five consecutive days of faithfully using the frankincense oil blend in the manner previously described, will produce the first signs of more youthful skin. What is meant by more "youthful"? Frankincense restores suppleness to mature skin. It isn't a "face lift in a bottle". It may not remove deep-seated wrinkles, however, it will surely restore suppleness which is the first step towards the natural reduction of wrinkles.
