The first product that I would like to talk about it is embellishments. Embellishments come in a large variety. Some of the embellishments that you will find in the craft store for card making are flowers, decorative tape, buttons, borders and brads. These are just a few. If you go to your local craft store and look in the scrap booking department you will find these embellishments. Each of these embellishments can be used to give your card a special theme. They can also be added to give your card dimension. The more embellishments you purchase the more exciting your experience will be.
A second product that I would like to talk to you about is called embossing ink. Embossing is the act of carving or getting a raised effect of a design. Generally you will use embossing ink for words but you can be as creative as you would like. For example, if you would like to call attention to the words "happy birthday" then you will use embossing ink on the words that have been written or stamped. After you have used the ink, you will use a heat gun to dry the ink. Some people use blow dryers to do this. You must have it on a very low setting though. There are different colors of embossing ink so that you can get a variety of looks on your card.
The third product that I would like to share with you is called punches. Punches come in a variety of shapes and forms. Each punch is made for a different purpose. Some will be made to make designs on corners and some will be made to cut out objects. Some of the designs available are butterflies, scallops, snowflakes, and stars. There are also punches that give designs to borders. Some of these punches include lace, scallops, and swirls. Some of these punches can also be used to do embossing. So this makes it nice because they have two purposes. This will be a money saving value.
As you can see there are many products out on the market place to choose from when it comes to making beautiful cards. I would encourage going to your local craft store or browsing on the internet to see what is available. There are so many things to see and to choose from. I know that you are going to have a fabulous time shopping and getting all of your supplies together. I also know that you are going to make some gorgeous cards because of these products.
