Supporters to Rally for Kenneth H. Foster, Who Faces Execution in Texas

Kenneth Foster Jr. To Be Executed on August 30

Dee
Kenneth H. Foster Jr. an inmate on Texas death row has an execution date of August 30. He is to be executed by lethal injection at 6:00 PM that day for a crime in which he never touched the gun or left the car. He has been convicted under "The Law of Parties." This law gives the death penalty to any body involved in a crime where a murder occurred, even if the accused was not involved, as is the case of Foster.

Foster has already served 10 years on Texas death row for being the getaway driver. Another inmate who did the actual shooting, Mauriceo Brown, has already been executed for this crime, and two other co-defendants are serving long prison terms in Texas.

Supporters and friend and family for Foster have planned a rally to bring awareness to his case. People are asked to show their support and join Kenneth's family, friends, supporters and anti death penalty activists on the South steps of the Texas State Capital to march to the Governors mansion at 5:00PM July 21. Various speakers will be present to speak about Kenneth's case and the death penalty. Entertainers including M1, Dead Prez, and The Welfare Poets will perform. The Welfare poets are an anti death penalty hip hop group who have rallied for other death row inmates with execution dates.

Those unable to attend the rally are encouraged to sign the petition to free Kenneth Foster, which has over 2500 signatures already. The petition is available at this site:

http://www.petitiononline.com/ee88911/petition.html are also being asked to call the Governor's office and ask that Kenneth not be executed. The phone number is Tel.: (512) 463-1782 Fax: (512) 463-1849. Governor Rick Perry can also be contacted, and left a message at this site:http://www.governor.state.tx.us/contact.

Texas has executed 18 inmates so far this year and is called the "Busiest Killing State." More executions are scheduled for this summer.

You should read the list of pardons by ex Pres Bill Clinton; it's not what you did, it's who you know. Senator Hillary Clinton seems to have a lot of support in her bid for presidency, so I guess a lot of people favor a biased government. (with her as Pres, he becomes First Man in the White House) GWB acted quickly to pardon Libby Scooter. Same ole same ole.
