Supporting a Working Wife Who is a Student

With prices seemingly rising on everything around, it's no surprise that more and more families need two incomes in order to survive. This means more and more wifes are leaving their more natural position as the one who takes care of the home, and going into the workforce. Many wives look also to go to college so that they can get a job that pays more. Trying to go to college and work a full time job is tough for anyone. Being a woman, who often is expected also to take care of the home, it's even tougher to do both. As a husband you have both the power and responsibility to help your wife do both and do them sucessfully. Here are some of the ways you can help your wife survive this stressful time.

Take on more responsibility at home. This is perhaps the best way you can help a working wife. There are lots of things that need to be done every day in a home. Find a way to take on more of the household responsibility. Help prepare meals so that your wife doesn't have to cook every evening. Do your part to help with washing and cleaning in the home. If our wife can make a grocery list for you, why not do the shopping for her? Anything you can do to help will be greatly appreciatted by your wife. Your wife will have more time to focus on her school work and studying.

Encourage your wife. Women in general like to be complimented. Give a compliment or encouragement while your wife is working is a great way to help her manage these two tasks at the same time. Tell her how proud you are of her. If you can help your wife with her homework then do so. Find a way to help her prepare for test and exams. Your wife is more likely to complete school and continue working if she knows you as her husband, appreciate her effort.

Increase your income. If your wife is working it's because your income alone is not enough to take care of all the bills. If you can increase your income, it will either allow her to quit her job, or work fewer hours. Working less means your wife has more time for her studies and to take care of her family. Find a second job or take on overtime at your current job. Look for ways to make money online(like associated content). You might even look to sell some things that are laying around the house that you don't use.

Eliminate bills. This is another way to help your wife to either quit her job or work fewer hours. Write down all your expenses and decide what can be eliminated. This could mean that you may have to make some sacrifices. Could you do without cable? Are there other expenses you could do without such as a cell phone, internet. Can you pay off some credit card bills using extra savings. Even making temporary sacrifices could pay great dividends if your wife works less.

Pamper your wife. Every once in a while do something really nice for your wife. Take her to a spa. Give her that massage she's being asking for. Take her out for a surprise dinner or show. Things like this will keep her motivated and willing to work and go to school at the same time.

My husband always wanted me to be the one brining in more money. coming from a family with the males working three and four jobs to keep their family going made me realize the difference in the rugged man who works hard versus the man I married. Sorry to say, he did not meet my expectations and so we are separated.
