Cute animal videos are popular, and with good reason. Animals have the ability to lift our spirits when nothing else can. My picks for the three cutest viral videos featuring animals are quite different from each other, but they do have a few things in common; they're all on YouTube, they've all gone viral, and they're all guaranteed to make you smile.

Surprised Kitty (Original)

A baby kitten bonds with its owner in this video, which is as cute as they come. It's very short, at only 17 seconds, but it's almost a cuteness overload. It's impossible not to smile when watching this one. You'll want to watch it again and again.

Ninja cat comes closer while not moving!

If you've ever lived with cats, you know how stealthy they can be; it's pretty easy for them to sneak up on you if they want. They also like to do their own thing, and they don't necessarily want you to be able to catch them in the act. This great video stars a cat that's a master of stealth. It lasts only 1 minute and 13 seconds, but even in that short timeframe, we get a real sense of this cat's personality, and it's a hoot.

English bulldog father meets daughter first time

Dog lovers will go crazy over this adorable video. See what happens when an English bulldog dad meets his little girl for the first time. His reaction probably isn't what you'd expect. This cute, funny video last 5 minutes and 12 seconds.

Levitation Duck Rescue Is Eventful (Music Soundtrack Version)

You'll cheer as you watch this heartwarming video, which was filmed in my area earlier this week. It documents how several employees of Levitation Staging, an event staging company in based in Grand Rapids, rescued twelve ducklings that had fallen down a storm drain. This all came about when they were working outside and heard a duck quacking. Looking around, they saw a female duck circling a manhole cover. Deciding to investigate, they removed the cover and found a dozen baby ducks. The video shows how they managed to rescue the little ones, while the mama duck hovered and paced. It's fairly long, at 7 minutes and 16 seconds, but it's well worth the time. This version is set to music; the original version includes the actual audio from the rescue.
