Survive an Attack

Adam Yeomans
When you are alone, you are vulnerable to attacks by those looking for money, sex, or personal satisfaction. Here are some simple ways to avoid being the victim.

Cover Position

You are simply protecting yourself. Get yourself in a ball with your knees tucked into your chest and your hands over your head in a fetal position. If anyone tries to hit you, they will hit your hands. If they try and force you to your feet, they will be trying to pick up your entire body weight. This is especially affective if your attacker is much stronger than you. Yes, you will get hurt a little, but a few brushes and scrapes are nothing compared to broken bones and head injuries.

Defense

If your attacker comes at you head on, cross your hands in front of you. Your prominent hand is your lead hand. Swat any movements away that are threatening. Do not reach. If they move into your area (2 feet) swat there hands or weapon down. They will eventually make a mistake or give up.

Rear Advance Defense

If your attacker is behind you, use your elbows and feet to gain freedom. Elbows to the ribs hurt. Feet onto the toes hurt also. If you get free and they are bent over, use your knee and beat your knee against their head several times until they fall over. This will prevent them from coming back after you.

If they come up behind you and attempt a head lock, tuck your chin in so they can't get to your throat. Throw elbows, stomp toes. If you go to the ground, try to land with you attacker on their back. Then release your elbows as hard as you can. Your attacker will only be able to take so much punishment and let go. When they do, straddle them and punch with a hammering motion. This will be the hardest for your attacker to defend against.

Ball Grab

If someone comes at you and you have tried everything to get them off of you, grab their testicles, squeeze and twist. They will let go exposing their face for you to land at several hard shots. Remember, no mercy. They attacked you. That was their mistake.

If you are over powered and cannot get away, yell "fire." It has been proven that people will most likely not respond to "help", but will always respond to "fire". Also, pay attention to what your attacker looks like. You can do your community a great service by taking a criminal like this off the streets. you may have to pick them out later in a line up.
