"Survivior Nicaragua," Season 21, Week 7 Recap

Recap and Review "Survivor Nicaragua" Week 7

Wendy Dawn
Week 6 of "Survivor Nicaragua" was crazy. There were two tribal councils and a member from each team was sent home. Kelly B. was voted off La Flor, but not before a line was drawn in the sand between Marty and Brenda. Yve, a strong player and not a threat at this point, was sent home from Espada. The tribe decided to hang on to Dan because he is not viewed as a threat. The problem is that he is also no help on competitions and around camp, but the young players who came over to Espada will have to learn that the hard way.

Going into week 7 there was no harmony among the members of La Flor and Espada was barely surviving.

The Challenge - "Survivor Nicaragua," season 21, week 7 recap
The challenge was to throw a ball past an opposing team's defender in a pool. Each ball that made it into the goal was a point. The teas were playing to 5 points.

Espada managed to win the game and another food reward. The winning team won not only the challenge but a chance for a Nicaraguan farm experience and a full, fresh breakfast in the morning.

The second challenge was for tribal immunity. It was a ball rolling competition where tea members maneuvered a chute with ropes. The goal was to drop the ball on the opposing tribes insignia plaque.

Espada won the second challenge easily. The won immunity and sent La Flor away licking their wounds again.

La Flor Tribe - "Survivor Nicaragua," season 21, week 7
Marty went back to camp after last week's episode with a big head because he made it through the tribal council without using his immunity idol. He confronted Jane for writing his name down, but she neither confirmed or denied anything to him. Marty doesn't want to admit it, but he doesn't have the leverage among the younger people that he had when it was old vs young.

When La Flor lost the first challenge they went back to camp dejected by their defeat.

Jane got right back to work catching fish for the tribe, determined to work and stay in the good graces of the younger members of the team. She caught a catfish and snuck away to eat it by herself in the woods while everyone else laid around the camp.

After their second loss, La Flor strategized to make Marty play the idol. The grand plan was to get rid of Marty and Jill. Sash approached Marty about giving up the idol in order to save himself. It was a blatant lie and an attempt to get the idol and get rid of Marty, and Marty fell for it and gave up his immunity idol to Sash.

Espada - "Survivor Nicaragua," season 21, week 7
This tribe is not thinking straight, upon returning from tribal council last week they started right away conniving about the next strongest player to eliminate - Alina, but as long as they keep winning they don't have to think straight.

NaOnka and Sash have teamed up with Holly, who has already proven she is not completely stable. They have no idea what they are doing and are only planning for the demise of their own team to save themselves.

NaOnka has benefited the most from the tribe mix-up. She had alienated a lot of people on La Flor and her days were numbered there. Now that Espada is reconfigured she is emerging as a leader. Sash and Holly better watch their back. NaOnka can strike at any time.

Espada managed to win the challenge in spite of Dan. Then, to make things even better they won the second challenge for immunity.

It was a good night (week) for Espada.

Tribal Council "Survivor Nicaragua," season 21, week 7
It was already planned that La Flor would vote off Marty, but the tribe must have been confused when Marty gave up the immunity idol. They could have been rid of Marty, but Jill was voted off.
