Survivor: China Episode 3 - "I Lost Two Hands and Possibly a Shoulder!"
Who gets the boot in Episode 3 of Survivor: China? Which team wins immunity? What will make Sherea cry THIS episode? Can ANYONE manage to keep their mouth shut? Analysis of previews and promotional footage reveals these answers and more!

Tidbits: Courtney and Todd overhear Jean Robert and James talking about how the only reason to keep "weak" Courtney is because one of them has a crush on her. Jean Robert's the one with the crush. Todd and Courtney likely sit out the Immunity Challenge. The "alpha males" who "duke it out" (probably nowhere near as exciting as it's being hyped to be) will be Aaron and Jean Robert.

Spoiler speculation - Reward Challenge Winner: Fei Long
TVGuide says, "For a reward of comfort items, including pillows, blankets and a tarp, the two tribes are each given a boat and must defend it against attacks."

Yay! Another underwear wrestling challenge. Sadly, this time it's without mud. Rather, it's another capture-the-flag variation. You've got your boats, each of which has a big old tribal flag in the middle, and you've got your balance beams running across the water between them. The tribes must cross the beams to reach the opposing tribe's boat, and of course full contact shove-em-in-the-water is allowed.

Clues as to the winner are sparse, and I feel like we're being set up for a surprise Zhan Hu win. However, I'm going to ignore that little voice, and based on little bits of vidclip evidence and big bits of "they're the juggernaut," I'm calling it for Fei Long.

Spoiler speculation - Kidnapped: Sherea
This one is even more tough to pick than the Reward Challenge winner. The main clue comes from some CBS misdirection: "The kidnapped castaway bonds with the kidnappers over issues of faith, and the floodgates open as that castaway reveals their own tribe's dynamics."

Reading between the lines, assume that floodgates opening = crying. Who cries at the drop of a hat? Sherea. The "issues of faith" implies Leslie is involved, and lots of speculation goes in the direction of Zhan Hu winning the Reward Challenge and kidnapping Leslie. Nah - Sherea is kidnapped, she and Leslie have some Very Special moments bonding over religion, and Sherea weeps in angst over her dysfunctional tribe.

Spoiler - Immunity Challenge Winner: Fei Long.
Episode 3's immunity challenge, "Blade Runner," uses wooden Chinese coins to solve a puzzle. Big honkin' wooden Chinese coins.

Wait - an Immunity Challenge that doesn't rely on brute strength? Oh, my. Oh, wait, it looks like there are...machetes involved. Machetes. And the castaways sure look intense, physical, and grunty in the promos while they're swinging their blades around. Blades...aha! Now the challenge's connection to a movie about a grim dystopian future is completely obvious and not unfounded or out of left field at all!

This one is a slash dunk: Fei Long wins.

Spoiler - Tribal Council: Dave sent back behind the bar
Zhan Hu is lazy and disorganized as all getout. Dave half-assedly tries to motivate and lead them.

Since Dave's more abrasive than an S.O.S. pad, he gets the boot. Dave, I'd like a mai tai, please.
