Survivor Heroes Finally Play Smart - Russell Blindsides Villains

Reality Rehash
Survivor Heroes vs Villains had two amazing Tribal Councils this week and for two very different reasons. Once again I'm getting way too far ahead though as we return to the night following the vote off of Tom. Back at camp everyone was annoyed at Candace. Wait let me rephrase that: Amanda was annoyed at Candace. Apparently she was upset that Candace "attacked" James at Tribal Council yet voted to keep him there. I'm not sure why all the hatred for Candace when James attacked how many people already, but whatever. Amanda's a crybaby and she'll be gone soon enough. The Heroes at least had some real drama since as morning approached the two big heads over there finally talked as Rob and Russell clashed.

Rob and Russell talked and Rob basically called Russell out as having the hidden immunity idol. He has it, but Russell denied, denied, denied and got fired up when Rob told him that either he works with him or he goes. Rob also kind of sold out Sandra for calling Russell marked, but that was kind of blown off for the bigger picture I guess. After Rob and Russell cooled down the Heroes headed off for Tree Mail and were puzzled that it didn't say if they were playing for a reward or an immunity. Note to people who play in the future, that's usually a bad sign. The whole idea was to see how James would do and for Colby to try and at least try and help them win. If he didn't, well he'd be gone or sure.

The challenge was indeed an immunity challenge, problem was it was for individual immunity as both tribes would be going to Tribal Council. You probably already knew that though, since they told us on the preview commercial every thirty minutes on CBS. Some were shocked, like the pre-first all stars, while others kind of just saw it coming. The winner from each tribe then competed to see which tribe would get to eat and watch the other tribe's Tribal Council. It was a fair reward and challenge as they had to race through a series of obstacles, ropes wrapped around poles, as they were connected to the ropes.

First up were the Heroes and although Colby needed it, he sucked at the challenge and was actually beaten by everyone... including sucky James. Candace ended up winning and that saved her, but put Colby in even a worst off spot. The Villains were then up and like Colby, Russell needed it and actually fought to get it. Rob ended up winning since he's just "amazing at everything", so it seems to Jeff, and that basically sealed Russel and/or Parvati's fate... or so Rob thought. With that it was time for Rob and Candace to face off and it was an obvious choice of winner: Rob. He plowed through the ropes course and although Candace did keep up, she probably didn't want to see her tribe eat and lost on purpose. At least that's what I would have done if I was her.

Back at the Heroes beach, after James grabbed three bananas, Colby decided to all but throw in the towel. Telling everyone to not scramble and just vote him out, since he knows he's going. James decided to be a bigger douche and put him down even more, calling him a "superman in a fat suit" since Colby was the biggest "bad ass" ever in Survivor. I doubt that, and it's stupid to say that about Colby but whatever, it's coming from James so he should just blow it off. Problem we have here, a good problem, is that JT/Candace/Rupert decided that it may be smart to get James out... uh you think? Amanda tried to talk them out of it and told James he would go if he couldn't prove that he was fast and stopped stealing bananas. In return James showed everyone that Amanda ratted on them and wanted to have a "Heroes Olympics". Which he failed at. He lost to JT, who was running backwards, so then it became ok do they keep the cripple douche or vote out the "fat suit" who really isn't in a fat suit but now just lays on the beach all day long. Such a disgrace of a tribe.

Ok now back over to the very interesting Villains. Everything changed every five minutes. First we have Rob telling everyone to vote out Parvati, but tell Russell it's him so that he would use the idol. Talking to Russell, Rob told him that he's going if he doesn't have the idol but then we have Russell going to Parvati and Danielle, who is FINALLY in the game, and telling them he knows that they will vote out Parvati even though they say its him. Ok it gets more confusing and I SWEAR that Russell has to be psychic. Rob then decided, yes he IS the leader of them apparently, that three would vote for Parvati and three would vote for Russell, forcing them to have a three way tie with the other three voting Tyson. It would have worked perfect, BUT Russell goes to Tyson and tells him that he's going to vote for Parvati. With that, Tyson decides that he may vote for Parvati and just force her to go and not even worry about a tie. Oh then we have the hidden idol, would Russell play it, give it to Parvati or nothing at all?!?!? What a mess but what a beautiful mess.

First up we had the Villains Tribal Council, which is about time, and they had some really easy questions. Like Jerri and Rob being asked what has changed since they played and Parvati yet again being called out for having friends on the other side. Then we got to the good part, the vote. We saw every one's vote but Tyson's and Russell's. Jeff asked, which was odd, if anyone wanted to use the idol and Russell stood up. He walked to Jeff as if to give him the idol BUT he then turned around, said some crazy thing to Coach, and gave the idol to Parvati. What!?!?!?! She was just as stunned and used it, kind of confused at first. Jeff then read the votes, they had to assume Russell would use it as his votes were first. Two for Russell, three for Parvati but then a FOURTH for Parvati... everyone was confused and Tyson knew his mistake was made. By not sticking to the original plan, Tyson was sent home thanks to his stupidity and Russell continues to amaze, changing the way the game is played and really proving to be a great player. Yet again. It's amazing.

Ok with that super amazing Tribal Council over, we have the dud Heroes who finally had a chance to make a good decision. I could kind of tell who was going as Amanda looked all crybaby, the way she did before using the idol in Micronesia but that was apparently acting. The talk came out about Colby being in a fat suit and James being a huge liability. In the end James was FINALLY sent him, Amanda cried and we called it a night. Two amazing tribal councils, one dramatic while one amazing as it finally sent James home. I really hope next week turns around for the Heroes. The finally made a smart play and the fall out from Russell's move will surely be something to watch for.

I hope Russell knocks Rob off his high horse. That guy is great at challenges and a decent leader, but one thing Russell has on him is strategy, and hidden physical ability. He was about 1/2 sec. behind Rob in that last challenge. Rob really needed that win. The Tyson blunder will haunt Rob's alliance aswell. I can see coach flipping maybe.
