Treemail arrived, and for the reward challenge, the Survivors were able to pick out their rewards from a simplified Sears catalog. For the reward challenge, the Survivors were matched up in pairs. There was a playing field where there were several placards with numbers on them, suspended from ropes hanging above a person's height. Each number placard had two corresponding balls hanging from it; one for each tribe. There was also a basket which was somewhat smaller than would be used in a game of basketball, and what looked like a freethrow line. Jeff would call out a number, and the Survivors would have to grab their ball with that number on it and then be the first to make a basket with the ball. The Villains took an early lead, with two baskets, before the Heroes scored a point. The Heroes turned it around and tied it up at three baskets, but then the Villains got a fourth basket for the win.
Russell found a clue to a hidden immunity idol after the Villains went home with their reward; they chose tools to build a shelter, partially because their machete was missing. Sandra suggested finding the idol and throwing it in the ocean. She said that whoever found it would be cursed. Most of the other Villains seemed to agree that they wouldn't bother looking for it.
While the Villains were working on their shelter, Russell decided to go for a "walk", but of course he was looking for the hidden immunity idol. Sandra saw him looking for it. When she reported to the others what he was doing, they decided that they needed to vote him out next, and that they couldn't trust them.
The Heroes found a clue to the hidden immunity idol while they were making the coffee that they won as a reward in the previous episode. Almost immediately, the Heroes were out looking for the immunity idol. Tom found it, and hid it in his sock without notifying the others. Amanda saw him put it in his sock. Tom decided to use it as a way to bring some power to his alliance.
For the immunity challenge, one person would be secured inside a giant ball that looked like one of the balls that people put pet hamsters in. This Survivor would be the only person that was able to see. He would guide two blindfolded people, who would roll that person to a table, which had a puzzle maze. He would then guide the rest of his tribemates, who were blindfolded, as they run a ball through the puzzle maze, for the win. This was the challenge that Russell Swan passed out on and had a near death experience during the last season. Rob was the sighted person for the Villains, Tom was the sighted person for the Heroes.
Rob and the Villains arrived at their table first. Tom arrived shortly afterwards. Tom caught his team up to the same position as the Villains on the puzzle maze, and both teams directed the ball towards the end. Rob was just a little bit faster than the Heroes were, and the Villains won immunity again.
Candace and Cirie came up with a plan to have three of the members of their alliance vote for Colby, while three of the others voted for Tom. J.T. had a different idea. He thought about voting out Candace instead, and considered allying with Tom to get rid of her. Cirie tried to talk them into changing their minds. When J.T. went back to Tom about it, Tom tried to convince J.T. to vote Cirie off instead.
During tribal council, Jeff asked about why they were voting the way they would be voting. Rupert said that he was voting based on promises that he made, but that he wasn't sure that it would be in the best interests of his tribe.
Tom played his immunity idol before the votes were read. Three people voted against Tom, whose votes did not count. Two people voted against Colby, and three people, including Colby, voted out Cirie, who became the fourth person voted out.
