For his next step, Russell attempted to bring Jerri over to his side with Parvati. She was very noncommittal... but a seed was planted in her head.
Colby knew that he had to perform, or he would be voted out of the Heroes tribe next. He knew that if James had a good knee, he would be hanging out at the Survivor Loser's Lounge.
The reward challenge was a game of water basketball. The winners would get an afternoon at a waterfall, with a wonderful and healthy lunch. Three people from each team would play at a time. The first round was played by the men; Colby made the first basket. In the second round, two ladies and one man played. Candace was very close to making a basket, but just barely missed. She had a second try, and made the second basket. In the third round, the men played, and Colby made a third basket for the Heroes. The Villains didn't even make one basket.
While they were eating, Candace discovered that there was another immunity idol. They decided to look for it as a team. They all seemed to feel a sense of unity, and they didn't want to harm what they had.
Russell told Coach and Jerri that he wanted to take them both to the final three. Jerri believed him, but Coach did not trust him. Jerri said that she would be on his side without discussing it with Coach. Coach and Jerri were in an alliance together, and he didn't want to break the alliance, but he didn't want to be allied with Russell either. In the confessional, Jerri said that she thought Coach was naive. Yeah right.
At the Survivor immunity challenge, three people would run through an obstacle course that included a rope web to climb and a net floor. They would go one by one in relay race fashion, each grabbing one puzzle bag on each trip, for a total of two trips and six puzzle bags. The Heroes finished grabbing the puzzle pieces first, but they tend to do poorly on puzzles. The Heroes worked well this time though for the win, finally breaking their streak of trips to tribal council.
Russell and Rob were sitting on the Villain's beach with Sandra and Courtney, and they discussed who to vote out. Russell suggested getting rid of the weak, pointing to the two ladies that were sitting with them.
Rob approached Coach about voting out Russell, and they both agreed to vote out Russell. Russell, on the other hand, thought that they should vote out Rob. Danielle, Parvati, Jerri, and Russell wanted Coach to vote out Rob, but Coach did not like that idea. They wrangled him into agreeing to be on their side, and he didn't like the conflict of honor that he was facing. Jerri approached Rob to let him know that they wanted to vote him out; he told her to do what she thought was right.
At the Survivor Tribal Council, the Villains discussed how the tribe was divided. It was clear that Russell was against Rob. Russell said that if anyone was trying to vote him out, he or she would pay for it.
Russell did manage to get Rob voted out, with four votes against him. Three of the Villains voted against Russell, and Coach voted against Courtney. While voting for Courtney allowed Coach to keep his word, it also ensured that Russell would stay.
While Russell seems to have the upper hand at this time, he probably does not make it to the final two in Survivor Heroes vs. Villains. During the Survival Samoa Finale, he offered Natalie, the winner, $100,000 if she would just let him have the title of "Sole Survivor". If he made it to the final two in this season, he wouldn't have been so desperate.
