The Heroes beach was a much happier, somewhat, tone with Colby still in the game and hoping to put up a fight in the next challenge. They were all worried about James being voted out and Colby being lackluster this entire time but with the reward approaching it was Colby's time to shine, and that he did. The challenges wasn't all that great, I must admit, just fighting for a ball and throwing it into a hoop. They just did that challenge a couple episodes ago, this time it was in the water. Colby scored two baskets while Candice I believe scored the third. That got the Heroes a nice reward of food with a waterfall and a clue to the idol, one which they hope to find together.
While the Heroes ate, the Villains were going crazy as Jerri talked to Danielle/Russell/Parvati and was swayed by Russell's loyalty to Parvati into joining the foursome. She also kind of put Coach in the foursome without realizing and it angered Coach a bit. He and Jerri have been tight, but by saying she is loyal to Russell as well that kind of irked Coach. Jerri had some sort of epiphany this episode, she now trusts Russell, realizes she's been single for three years because she can't commit and that Coach is crazy. All true probably. It was an interesting mangle of alliances and friendships and I think for the first time, pre-game alliances are out the window.
For their Immunity Challenge the tribes had to have three race across a trampoline, climb a rope for two puzzle piece bags each then have the other two put together the puzzle. The Heroes were able to get their pieces first, like usual and it all came down to the puzzle. The reason being is Courtney, she sucks at challenges and I'm sure she's the first to admit it. With the lead, Amanda and JT were able to put the puzzle together and that gave the Heroes a huge boost as they finally won an immunity. Something I didn't see happening but I kind of wanted to see as the Villains are just that more interesting.
Ok now this doesn't all make sense but I'll try to recap what happened post immunity at the Villains. To start things off everyone wanted Courtney gone, Coach and Russell mostly. Russell goes up to Sandra/Courtney/Rob and tells Rob, while the two girls are sitting there, that one of those two should go. Kind of stupid, but still kind of smart. They laughed it off but that sent Rob to Coach where he forced him into agreeing and promising to vote Russell out. Coach is really all about keeping his word but then Jerri pulled him into a Russell seed meeting where he was pressured into voting off Rob. So the vote went from voting out Courtney: a smart move, to voting out Russell or Rob..... very stupid. It all came down to Jerri who then talked to a tear-eyed Rob who basically told her that he has her back. What's a black widow to do? Let's go to Tribal Council to find out.
At Tribal Council it was all about Rob and Russell trying to push their dominance against the tribe. Rob kept looking at Coach to try and see what was going to happen and you could tell he didn't have a good look on his face. In the end Rob was voted out thanks to Jerri voting for him and Coach voting for Courtney. Rob called Coach a "little man" as he left, which is kind of funny and I'm sure we'll see Coach break down next time since he had to "break his word" to both Russell and Rob. It was kind of stupid of Coach to vote that way as he still angers the people who are in the game, mostly Russell. But we'll have to wait a whole long week to find out what happens.
