Survivor: Heroes Vs. Villains Reunion

An Update on the Cast

Sandra won Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, despite not performing well in challenges and losing her alliance early on. She became the first Survivor player to win twice. Jeff thought that maybe Sandra could have the title of Best Survivor Ever because she had won twice. Parvati argued that maybe she was the best player ever because she has spent the most time in the game. Russell thought that maybe there was a flaw in the game of Survivor (probably because he did not win). He thought that America should have a percentage of the vote.

Russell dominated much of the conversation. He said that he played once, for a long time (because he played back to back with only 12 days in between seasons). My take: in a way, he didn't have any time to reflect on how he played the first time around. He knew that he made it to the final three the first time, but he didn't know whether that strategy had worked with the jury at that point. Russell wanted to tell others how good he was. He said that he was good because he made J.T. look stupid when he wrote a letter to him and gave him the immunity idol. Russell produced the laminated letter. J.T. tried to throw his letter in the fire.

Sandra's husband was in the audience, off from Afghanistan for two weeks; he would return to Afghanistan shortly after the finale was filmed.

Jeff announced that Parvati was the person who had won the second greatest amount of challenges; Colby won the most challenges. Russell thought that Parvati should have won. Jeff told him that Russell's opinion did not dictate who won the game. Jeff tried to explain to Russell that by alienating people during the course of the game, and not playing the social game, he was losing votes. Russell said that he didn't care about the social game. Boston Rob said that Russell didn't play the game to win; he only played to get to the finals. Boston Rob, on the other hand, played the game to win, and he would gladly kick his ass all over the island. Russell retorted by asking how many seasons had Boston Rob won?

Jeff wondered why Tyson made the move that he did, changing his vote, and getting voted out in the process. Tyson thought that it was a risk that he had to make at the time, and if it had worked out, it would have been a genius move. Jeff asked about J.T.'s dumb move, giving away the immunity idol: J.T. said that he was making a risky move at the time.

Jeff had taken a poll online about the dumbest Survivor move ever. J.T. won the poll, and was awarded the "dumbest move in Survivor history" trophy. Some of the other Survivors to make dumb moves included James, who was voted off with two idols, and Erik, who gave away his immunity necklace, only to be voted off that evening.

James said that he was having fun during the game, but he was disappointed in his knee. Rupert discovered that he had broken two toes, and in one of his toes, he had broken two bones. Rupert liked being called one of the Heroes. Colby knew that he was not going to be as strong in the physical game in this season; he thought that it was a rough season.

Jeff pointed out that Amanda was one of a handful of players to make it to the finals twice, but she still couldn't win. He asked Amanda whether she lacked the "killer instinct" in real life as well.

Stephanie said that she expected to be voted off early; she said that she was disappointed, but gave a plug for her restaurant; her disappointment was nothing that a pizza from her restaurant couldn't cure.

Cirie said that she probably wouldn't have been able to play the game any differently, and that people had preconceived notions about who she was when she arrived at the island.

Coach was upset after watching himself during the first season that he played in, because he thought that he came across as an arrogant ass during the first season. He tried to change that with this season.

Jeff pointed out the first Survivor baby, Lucia Rose, the daughter of Boston Rob and Amber, who won Survivor All-Stars.

The Sprint Player of the Season award was between Rupert and Russell, who received the top two amounts of votes. The winner would win $100,000. Russell won the Sprint Player of the Season award.

When asked about her strategy, Jerri was happy that she was able to play a third season. She said that the first season everybody hated her, and that this season they liked her too much.

Candace had postponed her wedding to play on Survivor, but when she returned, she got married. Everybody was able to see her ring.

Jeff paid tribute to Jenn Lyon, who died of cancer on January 19, 2010. She was the first of all the Survivor contestants to die. She placed fourth in Survivor: Palau, and was 37 years old at the time.

It was time to announce the next season of Survivor. The next season of Survivor was going to be in Nicaragua, which has volcanoes and savage wildlife. Columbus discovered the region, and then the land was taken over by the Spanish conquistadors. It should be a good season.
