Episode 14: This is Going to Hurt

Survivor Reward Challenge: Poolin' Around

The Survivors received a little bit of home in the form of video messages on a Sprint phone. It's no big surprise that said family members were hiding right around the corner to compete with their Survivor family member in the "Poolin' Around" reward challenge. Chase and his mother won the reward challenge which was a trip in a boat down the Nicaraguan coastline while enjoying their family members company and of course all the food they could eat. Chase was allowed to choose two other Survivors and their family members to join him and his mom. This was discussed earlier with his alliance where he, Sash and Fabio all agreed they would take each other if the challenge allowed them to do so. Chase first picked Sash giving the reason that Sash has not been on a reward challenge on a long time. His second choice was Holly, not Fabio, which upset Fabio.

Survivor Immunity Challenge: Coat of Arms

Now Fabio's eyes are open a little wider and he is seeing clearer now realizing he must win the immunity challenge or he may just be going home since it now appears that he is on the outside of his alliance looking in. At the immunity challenge Survivors were blindfolded and tethered to an obstacle course taking them over and under hitching rails to a shield with a symbols on top. Players were to feel the symbols and memorize where the different pieces were placed. After memorizing the shield, Survivors retrieved three bags containing matching symbols to take back to the beginning of the obstacle course where they had to place their retrieved pieces onto a blank shield to match the one they just memorized. The catch? There are extra symbol pieces of different sizes in the bags, but that was not a problem for Fabio who did what he thought he had to do and won immunity for himself.

The Betrayal

Fabio winning immunity put a damper on the plans of his so-called alliance to boot him out next. Now a decision has to be made between kicking off Dan or Jane. Everyone left in the game is scared to go up against Jane in the finals, thinking she has a wrap on all the jurors votes. Dan is easier to beat in challenges so therefore they think they can vote him off anytime they wish. When Jane walks up on the conversation and learns they are discussing writing her name down at Tribal Council she shows them her true feelings by flipping them off. And then before the Survivors leave to go to Tribal Council, Jane takes a bucket of water and douses the fire saying, "By God, I started it, I'll put it out." No one had anything to say about that.

Survivor Tribal Council # 13: The Seventh Juror

At Tribal Council Jeff did his best to sway some votes and make it into an interesting game by suggesting that if Dan, Fabio and Jane teamed up right then and there and vote for Holly the final vote would be a tie. Their only choice would be to vote for Holly because Sash and Chase each have a hidden immunity idol which can only be played at this Tribal Council. But it was not to be so. Dan, Fabio, Sash, Holly, and Chase all voted for Jane Bright, a 56-year-old dog trainer from Jackson Springs, NC, who is the fifteenth person voted off Survivor: Nicaragua. Jane will be joining Alina, Marty, Brenda, Naonka, Purple Kelly, and Benry at Ponderosa.
