Survivor Micronesia Episode 3: Cirie Strikes Back

Fans & Favs Go One and One, but the Fans Win Immunity

R. T. Mims
This week the Favs whose team name is Malakal (Micronesian for Been there and done that now let's vote somebody off) and the Favs teamed named Airai (Micronesian for We can't make a shelter we're just too stupid) faced each other in two challenges.

The first challenge was for reward and allowed each team to choose from a catalog of things that would be their prizes should they win. Bear in mind we're not talking Big Screen TVs here just survivor stuff like a tarp, some rope and fishing gear or other stuff like that.

Cut to a swamp with ropes outlining a short flooded football field looking area and we've got ourselves this week's reward challenge.

The two teams made up in appropriate war paint face off and must get 5 sand bags into their end zone before the other team. All are allowed to steal bags from one another and the boys and girls are quickly muddy, wet, tired and hanging on to a good looking member of the opposite sex and opposite team. In one interesting scene Eric from the Fans flips Amanda over his head into the muddy water and James runs to the rescue. In the end Penner for the Favs gets the fifth sandbag in the end zone and the Favs win reward.

That night as every night it rains. We look in on the Favs, they're under shelter and fine. We look in on the Fans they're all soaking wet and miserable.

Morning comes and with it the immunity challenge. This challenge involves throwing coconuts into a rope basket held up by 4 members of the opposing team. When the basket weighs too much it falls and the other team wins. Some basketball skills are needed by the shooters and some weightlifting skills needed by the holders. In this event the Fans win.

Now the Malakal (been there and done that now let's vote somebody off) get going on politicking and back-stabbing. Cirie who has been supposedly unsure of herself ends up on the bamboo raft with Parvati and Amanda and in the time it takes to say we're playing the boys and want to win they decide to hook up in an alliance and get Yau-man off. The plan is then to go after Ozzie and James, the two idiots that Amanda and Parvati are bunking with.

An interesting chain of conversations and arguments takes place between John Penner and Cirie in which he learns his alliance is in trouble.

Penner is hopeful that he can get 4 votes to send Parvati home and Cirie has captured Amanda (with Ozzie) and Parvati (with James). Cirie has decided that Yau-Man must go, I guess because he knows how to make fire and is smart. So they go to tribal, have another blowout between Cirie and John and they vote out Yau-Man. Cirie rules. The end.
