Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4 - NaOnka is the Worst Survivor Contestant in the History of the Show

Maggie Blake
It's official: This is the worst season of Survivor. Ever.

Episode 4 of Survivor: Nicaragua started off with a recap of the last episode, during which Marty was shown saying that he needed Jimmy J., the tribe's "Daddy" to go, so that they would all be forced to "need" Marty. I don't particularly dislike Marty or anything, but this comment seriously sounded like pedophile mentality. Just saying.

Next, Surivor: Nicaragua Episode 4 continued with the members of Espada shown standing around in the pouring rain, feeling miserable. Well, you know folks, you voted off the most useful person on your tribe. And you did it so early in the game that you won't even benefit from his leadership skills and genuinely functional personality. Espada is so stupid they deserve to drown in the rain.

Mercifully, there was far less footage of NaOnka in Episode 4 of Survivor: Nicaragua. However, what was shown has me convinced she is a kleptomaniac. She's still walking around in Fabio's socks, stole the last clue right out of Kelly B's hands, and then ripped off the immunity idol after Brenda found it for her. From the looks of the comments on Facebook concerning Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4, viewers are not loving NaOnka's criminal mentality.

Actually, many people have stated on Survivor's Facebook page concerning Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4, that they are going to stop watching the program altogether, and NaOnka plays a huge part in that. Viewers feel like NaOnka is ruining "our" show. After all, we, the viewers, are the power behind Survivor's success. I am sure I am not the only fan wondering what the hell Survivor big wigs were thinking when they cast such a high concentration of nut jobs in Survivor: Nicaragua. It really does not even feel like a season of Survivor. If it weren't for the fact that the contestants are all half-naked and wearing Survivor buffs, I wouldn't even recognize what I was watching.

There was a highlight in Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4; during the challenge a couple of Espada members ran right into NaOnka. That probably didn't feel very good.

Speaking of the challenge, it was really horrible for viewers to listen to. Between Tyrone screaming at the top of his lungs and all the chaos, watching the Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4 challenge felt more like torture for prisoners of war than entertainment.

Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4 continued to prove that as far as the rest of La Flor goes, as long as NaOnka is still in the game they aren't going to have much chance of accomplishing anything useful. Poor Chase, who is dumb enough to trust Brenda (well, he calls it trust; I suspect he just really appreciates her exceptionally tiny bathing suit). Brenda is scared to death of NaOnka, so any progress that Chase makes and shares with Brenda will now be open for sabotage by NaOnka. Survivor: Nicaragua Episode 4 was just one more reason for this viewer to look to the heavens asking, "Why, oh why, doesn't somebody just drown NaOnka so we don't have to listen to her anymore?"

Bottom line, this season is the worst yet. Episode 4 of Survivor: Nicaragua leaves everyone wondering what kind of drugs the people who cast the show are taking. When Jeff got on Dan's case at Tribal Council for not participating in the challenges, I was baffled. Why would the show cast somebody who can barely walk and then bitch at him for not being physical enough? Ultimately, Jimmy T. was voted out (but not before he cried).

We can all hold out hope that Espada will pull it together enough to win next week's challenge, giving La Flor an opportunity to vote out NaOnka. If that doesn't happen, Survivor is going to continue to have fans abandoning the show. Either that, or somebody will finally lose it and drown the psycho. That would be reason enough to keep watching.

Great recap. Luckily, since episode 4 they seem to have ushered Na to the background where she belongs. Maybe they read your article! Survivor is still my favorite show, though!
