'Survivor: Nicaragua': Jud 'Fabio' Birza Wins; Highlights of the 'Survivor' Finale

On Sunday night's finale of CBS' "Survivor: Nicaragua", resident hottie Jud Birza won the whole shebang- and kept his nice guy status intact. 21 year old Birza - the youngest player to ever win on "Survivor"- took the game in a 5 to 4 final vote against Chase Rice.

While Birza- who was nicknamed "Fabio" on the show- came off as a ditzy blonde most of the time, that seems to have been part of his strategy. His laid back, surfer dude persona netted the former model the $1 million grand prize, beating out wishy wash Rice and the conniving "Sash" Lenahan.

In addition to Birza's big win, the "Survivor" finale revealed a few more surprises:

"Survivor" saved Jimmy Johnson. NFL coach Jimmy Johnson, a diehard fan of the show, said the audition process saved his life. 67 year old Johnson was discovered to have blocked arteries when he underwent a routine physical for the show. He had stents put in and came on the show later, healthy as a horse.

Surprise- NaOnka Mixon is still employed! The physical education teacher received flack for her mean-spririted ways on the show (she purposely knocked over and wrestled with a fellow player who had an artificial leg). Mixon, who quit the show with just 11 days left to go, admitted there were some complaints from parents at the schools she teaches at, but revealed she still has her job. She also said had she stayed on the show, she would have won it.

Danny needs some new shoes. Contestant Holly Hoffman had a major meltdown early in the season when she took Dan Lembo's pricey alligator shoes, filled them with sand and submerged them in water. To make amends, Holly presented Dan with some cool looking cowboy boots at the finale. No explanation on why Dan brought $1600 shoes to the Nicaraguan jungle to begin with.

Chase can sing. Chase Rice may have only been one vote away from the million bucks, but he had the chance of a lifetime when he got to perform for a worldwide audience during the finale. Host Jeff Probst handed the country singer a a guitar and let him have the floor to belt out a song he wrote.

Jane Bright is voted most popular. The youngster may have won the big pot, but this season's oldest-and most physically fit- woman won $100 thousand in the 'Sprint Player of the Season Award'. She also got a final word in to the backstabbing Sash, who she called "a New York sewer rat." Jane must have taken final speech lessons from Sue Hawk!

"Survivor: Redemption Island". Jeff Probst gave a preview of what's to come when "Survivor" comes back for season 22 in February. On "Survivor" Redemption Island", eliminated players will be shipped off to a private island to fend for themselves. They will duel other ousted players for a chance to come back into the main game.
