We watched the contestants see each other in silence. Somehow, assumptions were already being made about each other, without even saying a word. Think about it, you have muscles, beauty, and brains. Who would you want to side with?
If I was a contestant I immediately align myself with someone strong and someone smart. Once I had them under my sleeve, I would work on getting rid of people. This isn't far from what we saw on the Season Premiere of Survivor. Only, Jeff Probst shocked every one when he announced that this season would be young against old.
Shocked the older contestants. The younger constestants were thrilled as they knew they had the muscles to win competitions. Of course, the guys on the "younger tribe" were sad to see Jimmy Johnson leave as they immediately recognized him as being a NFL superstar coach and broadcaster.
We saw unity on the "younger tribe" as they immediately meshed together with ease. Even after giving up the "secret power" in order to get flint, and fishing supplies they found unity from the get-go within their tribe. On the "older tribe" there was discourse from the beginning. Not all were trusting of each other and that, as always, brings frustration within the tribe mates.
Will the 'younger tribe" continue to win against the younger tribe? That isn't always the case. We've seen wisdom overtake muscles. What is certain is that the older tribe needs to find some way to find unity within themselves in order to start winning competitions.
Survirvor Nicaragua is a widely watched show on CBS for a reason. One reason for the success is because Survirvor is about real life even though they are on a reality show. They have to learn how to tell the truth while sometimes telling lies to get further in the game. Some chose to speak the truth throughout the show and build aliances on truth rather than lies. They all learn about themselves, humanity, and living on the brink of survival.
