Survivor Panama: Lamina Prevailed

During the reward challenge, Casaya started out in the lead, but fell behind when Bruce had trouble cutting up the fish. However, Casaya caught back up, and once again, continued their winning streak. I must say, the fish had to be the toughest part of the whole challenge. Other than being big fish (causing them to weigh a lot), they were also slippery. I don't know if they were allowed, but if they were, they should have all thought to get sand on their hands, and that would have aided them in catching the fish. I didn't hear Jeff tell them they couldn't do that, so I assumed, if they had of thought of it, they could have.

I really felt sorry for Casaya when they returned to their camp - even though they had won the reward, when they returned to a flooded camp I don't think their prize looked as good; they had raw fish instead…YUCK! Bruce and Bobby stayed in the bathroom all night and drank wine. Not only did they drink the wine, but they made an alliance too; I wonder if they'll remember their alliance. I got to give it to Bruce & Bobby though, at least they stayed dry.

Finally, Lamina won an immunity challenge (I was feeling sorry for them), and Casaya had to face a tribal council. Shane tried to get the group to vote Bobby off; he thought it would be a better move. The rest of the group thought Bobby contributed more to the camp more than Bruce, and so they thought it would be best to vote Bruce off. It didn't stop there; Danielle talked the ladies into going with Bobby instead of Bruce. I guess they all forgot about the fact that Danielle doesn't contribute much to the camp either. I think Bruce and Bobby have contributed more to the camp than Danielle, but I'm not there and can't remind them of that.

During tribal council, Bruce barely made it through - Bobby's torch was extinguished. Surprising? I didn't think so. I pretty much figured Bobby was gone when he drank the last bottle of wine. Even though Bruce shared the wine with Bobby, Bobby was the guiltiest.

This week's Survivor tip: if you make it on Survivor and your tribe has fish for dinner, here's a cooking tip…roll the fish in mud and then cook it over the fire. We use to do this all the time when we were out fishing and got hungry. And believe it or not, it's pretty good. By doing this it insulates the fish so that it doesn't burn the outside of the fish, allowing the inside to cook. The fish is done when the mud dries and starts to crack. I thought everyone knew this, but I haven't yet to see a contestant on Survivor do this, if someone did I just missed it.
