Survivor: Redemption Island

Survivor returns for it's 22nd season on February 16, 2011. The 22nd season of Survivor has been named "Redemption Island". With some new faces and a couple familiar ones to Survivor watchers, the new twist is sure to keep people talking and watching.

The cast of Survivor: Redemption Island were divided into two tribes. The first tribe is the Zapatera Tribe. The members of the Zapatera Tribe are 31 year old Mike Chiesl from Del Mar, California. Ralph Kiser, a 44 year old farmer from Lebanon, Virginia. Krista Klumpp, a 25 year old Pharmaceutical Rep from Columbia, South Carolina. David Murphy, a 31 year old Defense Attorney from West Hollywood, California. Stephanie Valencia, a 25 year old waitress from Long Beach, California. Sarita White, a 36 year old Visual Effect Producer from Santa Monica, California. Julie Wolfe, a 50 year old Firefighter from Oceanside, California. Steve Wright, a 51 year old former NFL Player from Huntington Beach, California.

The second tribe is called the Ometepe Tribe. The tribe members are a 21 year old student from Random Lake, Wisconsin, Andrea Boehlke. Matt Elrod, a 22 year old Pre-Med Student from Nashville, Tennessee. Francesca Hogi, a 36 year old Attorney from Washington DC. Kristina Kell, a 46 year old Law Student from Malibu, California. Grant Mattos, a 29 year old Yoga Instructor from West Hollywood, California. Philip Sheppard, a 52 year old Technology Executive from Santa Monica, California. Natalie Tenerelli, a 19 year old Professional Dancer from Acton, California. Ashley Underwood, a 25 year old nurse from Benton, Maine.

Joining these sixteen castaways will be Rob Mariano, known to Survivor Fans as "Boston Rob" and Russel Hantz. These players will enter Survivor: Redemption Island on opposite teams. Neither Rob or Russel have won the one million dollar prize Survivor rewards the winner. Time will tell if the new Survivor castaways welcome them in as a player and use their knowledge allowing them to possibly win the game or if the new castaways view them as a threat and send them to Redemption Island quickly.

How the twist of Survivor: redemption Island works is each player who is eliminated, will still have a chance at the one million dollar prize. When the first player is eliminated during Tribal Council. They will be sent to redemption Island. They will live there alone until the next player who is eliminated joins them at Redemption Island. The two players will then have a dual. The winner of that dual will remain on Redemption Island and wait for the next eliminated player. This will continue to happen through out the game. The last winner at Redemption Island will then return to the original game and complete for the title of Sole Survivor.
