Survivor Redemption Island Winner: Rob Mariano Wins After Fourth Try

After 39 days, Survivor Redemption Island is over and the winner is Rob Mariano. Was the outcome what fans anticipated? This has been a wild season of a one-man show by none other than Boston Rob Mariano.

Rob Mariano dismantled the Zapatera tribe by controlling every aspect of the voting once the tribes merged. Rob blindsided everyone including Matt Elrod who thought the world of him in the beginning. Rob and his followers sent Matt to Redemption Island where he continually won against other tribe members blindsided.

This years cast members are ones for survivor history books. Cast members included non other than Rob Mariano who had played survivor three times and never won until "Survivor Redemption Island". Rob played survivor in "Survivor Marquesas", "Survivor All-Stars" where he met and proposed to fellow cast mate Amber Brkich and in "Survivor Hero's versus Villains".

Next up is everyone's favorite villain you love but hate at the same time Russell Hantz. Russell played in "Survivor Samoa" and "Survivor Hero's versus Villains". It was a shock he was voted off so early on in the game but hey he played everybody and received what he deserved. Most all the cast members had watched his previous seasons and his tribe knew how he played, which was ultimately his downfall.

Other tribe members who never played Survivor but are huge fans include Andrea Bohike, Ashley Underwood, David Murphy, Francesca Hogi, Grant Mattos, Kilie Wolfe, Krista Klumpp, Kristina Kell, Matt Elrod, Mike Chiesl, Natalie Tenerelli, Ralph Kiser, Sarita White, Stephanie Valencia, Steve Wright and of course the man who got on every ones last nerve Phillip Sheppard.

For some survivor fans, they expected this ending while others were hoping for a different outcome. Remember folks its outwit, outplay and outlast which is what Rob Mariano did. The last three standing were Natalie Tenerelli, Phillip Sheppard and the winner Rob Mariano.

It is without a doubt this has been a fantastic season for survivor fans. With a 5 - 1 vote Rob Mariano is the winner of Survivor Redemption Island.
