According to EW, Russell Hantz was arrested at around 2 a.m. in Lafayette, La., on the morning of April 23. An emergency call had been placed in regards to a physical confrontation near Justin Street. When authorities arrived, Hantz was arrested, and later charged with a simple battery. The report was that he had allegedly shoved someone to the ground. With that level of offense, no bail was required for his release, but he was given a misdemeanor summons and schedule to appear back in their court on June 24. He isn't the first Survivor contestant to get in trouble with the law, as the first Survivor winner (Richard Hatch) actually went to jail for tax evasion.
Russell Hantz has always been a questionable player during his time on the reality competition show Survivor. Though that may be the case, he always seems to get things to go his way, whether it be convincing someone that he should remain on the show, or whether it be finding one of the hidden immunity idols on the island. It has caused fans of the show to be very polarized when watching these last two seasons of Survivor, but it has at least kept things very interesting. At this time we have been unable to confirm that Russell used an immunity idol to get out of jail this morning. This case probably won't affect his time on the current season of the show either, as it has already been filmed.

Post a CommentWhen you're famous obnoxious people will try to set you up if given th opportunity...th exact circumstances may never be known with today's media the way it is. Russel did not overreact by striking the prerson, rather pushed them to the ground, which is a defensive move.
yes, i agree completely with suzanne! i love the way russell played the game just becuase he owns his own oil company and his tricky way of playing the game everybody thinks he a bad guy but as far as i'v seen hes a good guy!
Any Man his age and owning a company should act like a adult. He should set examples to all the children who look up to him.
If he will harm a young lady like this
what will he do if no ones around to witness whats happening.
I hope the 18 lady ends up owning a oil company!Let this loser go back to the next survivor or bagging grocerys to make a living.
I agree completely with Suzanne. I dont think he is that kind of person. The way he plays the game and the way he acts in real life is completely different.
It kind of sounds like a case of making a big deal out of nothing just because who he is. If any other person had shoved someone at a festival, they probably would have just walked away. When they call it assault, I thought he actually beat someone up, but reading more details of the story makes me think it's just a big deal made from nothing.
