Erinn tried to convince Stephen and J.T. to vote out Taj. She told them about how likeable she was and how she would probably win if she made it to the final two. During tribal, Jeff brought up the fact that the entire jury was made up of former Timbira members, and Erinn might have a shot at the jury votes because she had been in a tribe with her. Erinn's suggestion paid off, and Taj was the next Survivor voted off. Fortunately, she didn't need the money.
After tribal council, Erinn wouldn't shut up, and was annoying J.T. and Stephen with her chatter. She didn't think about how difficult it would have been to vote off Taj, their closest ally.
J.T. gives his word that he would take Stephen to the final two. Stephen said that he would take J.T., but Stephen had already talked about being in the final two with Erinn. Who was telling the truth? It's hard to tell at the end.
At the end of their walk honoring their fallen comrades, the three remaining Survivors ended at their immunity challenge. The immunity challenge was to put balls through a wire maze. They had to catch the ball at the end of the maze, and they could not let any of the balls fall. They started off with one ball, and added more balls as the game continued. They had to do this with one hand tied behind their back. It was a pretty creative challenge. Erinn was the first to let a ball accidentally fall, after three balls were in play. Stephen let a ball fall after four balls were put into play, giving J.T. immunity for the third time in a row.
J.T. was conflicted, whether he should take his friend Stephen, who he promised to take to the final two, or Erinn, who could be perceived by many as riding on the coattails of the others. In the end, loyalty and friendship won over a perceived greater chance of winning.
On the last day, they woke up to a big breakfast of eggs, sausages, bread, pancake mix, and champagne. Other than the final speeches in front of the jury, the hard part was over. The friends could enjoy their morning together. When they left for their final meeting in front of the jury, they didn't burn the camp down, as many of the Survivors in previous seasons have.
During the final speeches in front of the jury, Stephen wasn't making a very good case. Instead of focusing on why he should win, he focused on what he was taking away from the game. J.T. was making a better case. J.T. really wanted to win. Stephen practically admitted that he was "hiding under the shadows" as a strategy. Erinn remarked that Stephen had switched to different alliances, but J.T. had not. Debbie brought up the honesty question with J.T. J.T. had told lies in the game, even though he seemed honest to many people.
When Sierra questioned Stephen and J.T., she remarked that she thought that Stephen was one of the weakest players in the game, and Erinn was a weaker player than Taj. Some of the other jury members looked a little annoyed at her remark. This is the sort of mouth that got her voted out in the first place. "Crushed, betrayed, extremely disappointed" was Taj's comments to J.T. and Stephen. She looked completely hurt.
After saying that Stephen hadn't said anything negative about J.T., Stephen threw J.T. under the bus, making it look like J.T. had tried to vote her out earlier. Stephen brought up old history, about how he had saved Taj when J.T. tried to take him out. The two got into an argument in front of the jury, leaving the jury members shocked. Will their friendship stand up after airing all their dirty laundry? It was a very interesting finale.
What happened to Jeff's jungle scenes? I miss those. They were a pretty cool feature of the season finales first seasons of Survivor.
J.T. won Survivor Tocantins unanimously. It was only the second time in Survivor history that the vote had been unanimous.
