Survivor Winner and Survivor Nicaragua Revealed During Heroes Vs. Villains Finale

Who won Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains and clues about Survivor Nicaragua were revealed during Sunday's finale. The Survivor winner for season 20 of the show ended up being Sandra, one of the original Villains Tribe members that has actually won the show for a second time. Sandra was declared the winner of Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, with Parvati coming in second place, and Russell, though making it to the final vote, received zero votes from the jury. It was also revealed during the Survivor finale that the 21st season of the show will be filmed in Nicaragua during the coming months. Survivor Nicaragua will premiere in the fall during CBS's 2010 lineup.

The three-hour Survivor finale began with the regular two-hour episode followed by the one hour reunion show on Sunday night. With five contestants remaining on Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains, it looked like it was a sure bet that someone from the original Villains Tribe would end up taking home the $1 million prize. It turned out exactly as predicted, with villains taking all of the top four spots, and with Jerri getting voted out at the last tribal council, it led to Russell, Parvati, and Sandra going in front of the Survivor jury to decide who would be winning this season of the show. Sandra turned out to be a huge surprise winner this season, mainly because she could never seem to win a challenge, and she never succeeded this season. Sandra had the last laugh on Sunday night though.

The Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains season finale had a lot of competition on Sunday night when it came to the other top networks, so it will be very interesting to see how the ratings turn out for the three-hour event. The show is still doing very well though, and that led to the revelation that the 21st season of Survivor will now be taking place in Nicaragua. There weren't a ton of details to emerge during this Survivor finale, but it will be an entirely original cast, and hopefully it presents a few new contestants that can take our attention away from all-stars, fan favorites, or villains of the past. Survivor Nicaragua will have a season premiere at some point in September of 2010.
